I think Cavani is on a big enough wage that they could, in theory, bring in an established top player on that same wage (or similar), but it's hard to see Napoli not going for a relatively young player who would have the potential to grow and be sold on for big money in a few years.
Icardi is the only player who would come close to being a Cavani-like signing in Serie A just now, but I'm not really convinced by him and he seems to be heading to Inter.
Maybe someone like Damiao?
