Galliani: Milan market is closed

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has suggested that his club’s transfer activity for the summer has already come to an end.
“Our transfer market has closed,” the official stated on Wednesday when asked about the club’s immediate plans.
“We have already made our signing. The decision to keep Thiago Silva was our big move and it closed our market.”
There were suggestions that the Diavolo were still looking for a defensive central midfielder, but that may no longer be the case.
“There will be no changes in midfield,” continued Galliani. “We have nine players in there and we are complete.
“We are not missing a Van Bommel type player as we have Riccardo Montolivo [after his arrival from Fiorentina]. We also have Massimo Ambrosini who can play in that role.”
Galliani did, however, concede that the club could consider selling left-back Djamel Mesbah to newly promoted Torino.
“We don’t have an intention to sell anyone, but we’ll have to see about Mesbah,” he continued. “Will Angelo Ogbonna be a part of the Mesbah deal? No, not at all.
“If we do sell someone then it won’t be one of our high profile players.”
