Ibra nets three-game ban
By Football Italia staff

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been suspended for three games – so he’ll miss Milan’s big clash against Juventus.

The striker was handed the punishment this afternoon following his red card against Napoli on Sunday. He was dismissed for slapping Napoli’s Salvatore Aronica.

Ibra will thus miss the Rossoneri’s next three League games against Udinese, Cesena and the Scudetto encounter against former club Juventus.

However, Milan will appeal against today’s sentence after yesterday claiming that the striker’s gesture didn’t warrant more than a two-game stop.

Ibra’s record against former club Juventus is not great. In seven Serie A games versus the Old Lady, he’s scored just once.

Meanwhile, Lazio’s Mobido Diakite has been given a two-game ban and 10 other players will be stopped for 90 minutes.

They are: Andrea Consigli, Luca Cigarini [Atalanta], Moris Carrozzieri [Lecce], Paolo Cannavaro [Napoli], Kevin Constant, Juraj Kucka [Genoa], Daniele De Rossi [Roma], Andrea Lazzari [Fiorentina], Maicon [Inter] and Mark Van Bommel [Milan].

He may have deserved three games, nevertheles, if we played Juve in four weeks he would have gotten 4 games ban.

Btw, by reading that thread I was reminded of this incident:

I always hated Maldini. Classless cunt who was presented to be a saint and was incredibly overrated as "the best defender of all time". Giorgone should have cleaned the pitch with Maldini's ass instead of showing him the undeserved respect.
I'm glad the scum of a club treat their scum captain the way they do.

I fear that Ibra's absence will make them more united and they will for a change give 100% on the pitch. Maybe not against Cesena, but against Udinese and Juve I expect Milan to play two very good matches and get point(s) from both matches.

I remember being pissed at Chiellini for not punching him.

I'm 100% serious. I really hated the guy. Most probably because I hate Milan and he was their icon, but I hated his guts and I always wished him the worst. Him and Shevchenko.
Plus he was overrated to the heavens, despite indeed being an excellent defender. Not even close to the defender he was presented to be.

Not sure how I feel about this. Ibra certainly deserves the ban but forcing Milan to play football without relying on zlatan may actually benefit them against us.
