La Liga defenders too chase Messi/Ronaldo but are obviously way weaker technically than those two and can't handle the pace either. The goal Alex scored there against Messina is actually what that happens frequently in La Liga and not the one Alen posted earlier.

One could argue that Alex dribbled those defenders only and only thank to his technique while La Liga defenders have to cope with Messi and Ronaldo's pace as well.

Yes, when the result is 0:0 or 1:0. When it's 3:0, that's exactly how Messi scores at least 10 goals a season. Just like DP's goal against Crotone.

I suspect Ronaldo's physical power would make him more effective in Serie A (though this would depend on what sort of team he was playing in).

Ronaldo could play similarly to what Eto'o did last season - drifting wide and driving in towards goal.

The space between defence and midfield that Messi likes to play in is remarkably difficult to find because so many teams play in such a compact fashion.

Juve probably need to be five or six points ahead of Milan after that run of games if they are going to win the title.

My point was that Real and Barca would win their games as comfortably as they are now (and with more or less the same number of goals) if they played in Serie A.

He'd do better than he does for Argentina, but not as well as he does in La Liga.

Italian and South American defenders just have a much greater natural cyncism and nastiness than the Spainish, which would see Messi fouled more and harder.

Then you have the greater tactical ability in Italy and the decades they've spent working on stopping flair players.

Spain is just trying to learn that art now to cope with Messi and Ronaldo, having spent years just playing their own way almost regardless of the opposition and primarily trying to outscore the opposition.

Takes a hell of a long time to have the defensive knowledge that is fairly deeply ingrained in Italy, even if the ability of Italian defenders is fairly unremakable at the moment.

I don't think they'd win as comfortably, even if they'd win almost as often.

7-0 would be 5-0, 5-0 would be 3-0.

Not a particularly significant difference, since they'd still be comfortable wins, but a difference nonetheless.
