It doesn't matter about the squad that Ranieri had. When you have Del Piero, Buffon, Nedved, Chiellini, Camoranesi and Trezeguet grinding out the results it's quite difficult to make it look bad. And especially Del Piero, he was seriously good. Real Madrid bowed down to him. Unfortunately, his legs won't last forever.

Yes. There were also no good Napoli, Palermo, Lazio, Udinese.
this squad is qualitywise superior to the one he had and our overall play was ugly but the results were there. We hurt ourselves more with such results than we are inable to cope with the competitiveness of serie A

TBH he had a in-form Nedved and Del Piero. They made his life so much better.
Don't forget Trezeguet and Camoranesi was doing well.

Even Iaquinta and Amauri was scoring back then
In form Nedved? You mean a 30+ year old who played 3 times a week and was probably more tired Krasic have been?

Iaq and Amauri scoring? That's no coincedence, under Ranieri certain players excelled to a higher level while under Delneri they declined and played out of position.
