If we wanted to sign Zambrotta back after his failure in Spain and it was a similar poll, many would have preferred Zamrotta to go anywhere except Juve. This is a whole different case for the players who left us after Calciopoli. Most of fans wouldn't want them back.

No I don't agree with this logic but fans are sentimental over such things. Many of Arsenal fans wouldn't want Adebayor back even if they needed him.
