Milan: 'Ibra move is possible'
Wednesday 18 August, 2010
Milan director general Ariedo Braida reveals “it’s not easy to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but it is possible.”

The Rossoneri have repeatedly been linked with the Barcelona striker this summer and the clearest indication yet of a genuine plan has now emerged.

“I know Ibrahimovic well and he is a great player. The problem is that Milan have three, four or five forwards for two or three places,” director general Braida told Spanish channel RAC-1.

“In order to sign a new striker, we’d have to sell one. Having said that, everything is possible. Yes, this can happen.

“It doesn’t just depend on us, as it also depends on Barcelona and the player. It’s not easy to sign Ibrahimovic, but it is possible.”

Ibra is seeking a move after the arrival of World Cup winner David Villa pushed him on to the Nou Camp bench.

There have also been reports linking Milan with Barca defender Martin Caceres, who spent last season on loan at Juventus.

“No, that simply is not possible. Milan already have 11 defenders for four places.

He is their director general and he doesn't know how many forwards they have :shifty:

Is it possible that we get Huntelaar from them if they get Zlatan?
He's for sale and I think we should get him. I know he has failed at two big clubs now, but his character really suits Juventus and I think he could do very well here.

yup. I wanted him here from ajax

It would be so stupid to sell Amauri just to get Huntelaar.

It's not like he's shining :sergio:
True but I think he can be a long term replacement for Trez. But i'd defo sell IQ to get him before we sell Amauri

    I wouldn't sell Amauri...
Neither would I. On the other hand I wouldn't think twice when it comes to Iaquinta.

So people are actually complaining how Amauri can't score but Huntelaar who sucked at Milan is supposed to get Trezeguet's place?

Based on what exactly, his Ajax performances?

    Only because he's Italian :disagree:
Why is Amauri better than Iaquinta? Iaquinta has scored more goals at Juventus and throughout his career than Amauri has. The only reason I'd consider selling Iaquinta over Amauri is his injuries.

Because Iaquinta is limited and just another brainless player, we have enough of those.

His striker abilities are weak and he sucks on the right. There isn't anything he's actually good at.

And what is Amauri good at? Scoring goals doesn't happen to be his forte. He's good at holding the ball down, I'll give you that. Other than that he's being pretty poor for us. When he plays at the top of his form I agree he looks like a beast. But when Iaquinta plays at the top of his form he also looks like a great finisher. What Iaquinta offers up top is movement. None of our other strikers gives us that. He scores goals when need too. Agreed he wastes a million chances :p But Amauri isn't that better at putting away chances either.
