Now come on Juventino, don't be a hater just because they're portuguese or played for viola, milan or inter, rui costa was great, one of the best playmakers in recent times. I truly admired him even if he played for fiorentina and milan.

Figo was World Class for a lot of time, and even at the end of his career when he was playing for inter still was quality. He played for the 3 teams i hate the most during his career, yet saying he was a failure is hilarious, he was certainly one of the best wingers i've ever seen.

The only thing players like Rui Costa and Figo deserve is respect, regardless of who they played for, but the moments of brilliance they used to create on the pitch, for that football lovers must be grateful.

And individual chance of success is not affected by the country he was born at all, you can say that some portugueses failed in serie A, guess what? so did a lot of players from other countries. Even Italy, but i forgot that pepe is world class for you. :sergio:

You are judging Paulo Sousa, a Defensive Midfield, with the number of goals he scored?? :sergio:

Do you know Sousa got the Guerin d'Oro award in 1995 when there was players Batistuta, Boban, Savicevic, Jugovic in Serie A and not to mention all the italian players??

Rui costa was probably one of the best talents that graced serie A for the past 20 years especially in his days with Fiorentina. To say he's crap is just :shifty: Nothing much to say really....

Trofeo Tim in Bari on August 13th

Even this summer, Juventus will be taking part in one of the most important Italian summer events: the Trofeo Tim. The event, which is in its 10th edition, will be played at the Stadio San Nicola on the 13th August and will allow Del Neri’s team to compare themselves to Inter and Milan, two of the rivals of the season, on one day.

The formula will be the usual one: a triangular tournament with 3 matches of 45 minutes each.

Juventus will be on the field as holders after having won the 2009 edition held in Pescara.

I was disagreeing with him saying Rui Costa was a nobody in Serie A. How can someone in their right mind say that?

Totti to be sanctioned
Friday 23 July, 2010
Francesco Totti will be sanctioned after suggesting that referees protecting Inter 'stole' two Scudetti from Roma.

The League's disciplinary commissioner Stefano Palazzi is currently deliberating Totti's punishment after he made 'damaging judgments on the prestige, reputation and credibility of referees, federal institutions and a club [Inter] operating in the ambit of the FIGC.”

Totti had said: “The problem is that the others are strong, but they are also protected by everyone.

“There are always mistakes and you always try to think that they were made in good faith.

“They should use video technology and do something, but at the same time it would be a different League and this is why they don't do it.”
