Not better at all, probably even worse, but the impression i got here in July and August was that "We had the shittiest mercato ever and we'll play in UEFA Cup" while Milan had "the best mercato of all time and they'll win everything".
Similar was said about Fiorentina's mercato.

Nesta was injured for the whole second part of last season and Milan knew that there are great chances that Nesta might not play football again. As it turned out it was true and he didn't play at all this year.
But it wasn't unexpected. He was out half a year before this season started and they knew that they had the whole summer to replace him. They didn't.
You shouldn't count Nesta for Milan just like one shouldn't count Andrade for Juve.

Juventus have paid a heavy price for racist chants directed at Mario Balotelli during the Derby d'Italia.

Balotelli was jeered by large sections of the Stadio Olimpico crowd during Saturday evening's 1-1 draw.

However, a small number of fans took things further and hurled racial abuse at the Italy Under-21 international.

Sporting judge Gianpaolo Tosel has taken a hard line as Italy continues to try and tackle racism and has imposed a game behind closed doors for Juve.

The game in question will be the fixture with relegation strugglers Lecce on May 3.

While the decision will be applauded by many as a measure against racism in calcio, it may prove controversial.

Balotelli has reported racist abuse from several sets of fans this season but the clubs in question have only received fines.

Roma have denied reports that former Mercedes owners the Frick family have tabled a bid for the club.

ItalPetroli - the Giallorossi's parent company owned by the Sensi family - have debts of nearly £400m and there has been regular speculation that ownership will change.

There were reports in the Italian Press this morning that Roma were considering a bid from the Frick family, but the club have denied the story.

“ItalPetroli can confirm that they know nothing of any concrete interest from the Frick family,” a statement on Roma's website reads.

“The contact that has taken place is provisional and to evaluate all eventual options.
