Casiraghi: Balotelli is infuriating!
Tuesday 10 February, 2009
Under-21 Coach Pierluigi Casiraghi has blasted Mario Balotelli for his training no-show. “He’s infuriating. I don’t know if it’s his last chance.”

The Inter striker was out partying on Sunday night and overslept, missing the flight to join the Azzurrini in Trieste, so he turned up three and a half hours late.

At the time the tactician had glossed over the incident, but as Balotelli has a history of not taking training seriously enough at Inter, Casiraghi decided to take a stand.

“Seeing a lad of his talent who at 18 behaves like this both with the national team and his club is infuriating.

“I hope he changes for his own good. I spoke to him for a long time and I hope he understood, but I’m not sure that he did.”

Jose Mourinho had frozen the starlet out of his squad for several weeks over “disciplinary reasons” and welcomed him back at the weekend for the 3-0 win over Lecce, but he may not have learned his lesson.

“Italy are not a club, so if you have one chance then you have to make the most of it,” continued an irate Casiraghi.

“The fact he remained in the squad was my own choice. It is the first time he has made a mistake with us and I always give people a second chance. I don’t know if it’s his last one, though.”

Italy’s Under-21 side will take on Sweden in a friendly on Wednesday evening.

Balotelli is this shy from taking the big flush with his promising career. Maybe he should be traded to Fiorentina so Mutu can take him to some coke parties and show him how bad things can get.

What are you talking about? The biggest role model for how to start a great career and then throw it all away is right there at Inter. They've probably even trained together, with the Primavera.

This was for the 07/08 season, hence y were so low (no CL). It's pretty good when compared with Inter and Roma though, who were in CL and didn't make that much more.
