That makes very little sense. If there is one team in Italy that is known to buy foreigners who have hurt the Azzurri in the past it's Juventus. The first names that come to mind are those of Trezeguet and Zlatan. I consider international and club football to be two completely different things. I don't care what NT Amauri plays for as long as he plays well for Juventus.

And Nedved too, he played a big role in Euro 96 to knock Italy out in the groups.

Think its juz an effort of the blogger to make known how the 3 teams are reinforcing the Brazilian team ...

Inter was supplying none to the Italy NT and they are supposedly the ITALIAN Serie A champions ...

It's still annoying how they have good subs for their best players. Milan lose Kaka and they replace him with Ronaldinho. Inter can replace Maicon at RB with Zanetti.

We can replace our most creative player Camo with Marchionni and our RB Grygera with Salihamidzic or Mellberg.

Turin-based investor makes bid for Torino

Feb 12, 2009, 14:49 GMT

Rome - Raffaele Ciuccariello, a Turin-based entrepreneur, Thursday announced his intention to buy struggling Serie A side Torino, Italian media reported.

An attorney for the 68-year-old investor was quoted as saying that Torino 'are a team that (Ciuccariello) has liked for a very long time.'

He added: 'He is a trustworthy person, who has worked hard, also abroad, in the restaurant industry. He is a football enthusiast, a fan of Torino and took this decision out of passion.'

Ciuccariello was born in the southern region of Puglia, but has lived in Turin for 40 years. He appears to have inherited assets worth 600 million euros (770 million dollars) and could consider investing 100 million to acquire and improve the club.

Torino are in the relegation zone of the Serie A after 23 games, with 15 left to the end of the season.

Current president Urbano Cairo is rumoured to have received an offer from Ciuccariello late last year, but firmly rejected it.

Maicon injured during today's training. He probably won't play against Milan :D
The realistic Me says juve dont win the scudetto this year. We just dont have enough quality. I am quite sure inter will take it. Ass Milan and Juve will fight for the runners up. Therefore 3 points for the rossoneri is the worst outcome of the milanoderby.

I actually find Zanetti playing RB a turning point for Milan. He barely attacks, isn't as fast as Maicon and not a good passer.

i think that speaks volumes about the quality of Serie A. obviously all of us here are Serie A fans but from a high-level perspective, italian football isn't what it once used to be. And frankly speaking, we aren't that good. God only knows how we are in the top 3 in the pts race.

Maicon's injury turns out to be more serious than expected. He certainly won't play against Milan and he's risking to miss both legs vs Manchester United.

    Gazzetta

    Now Zlatan, please :D

Cambiasso before Zlatan. Inter will struggle without Cambiasso.

Cambiasso before Zlatan? Seriously? The guy that scores and assists for them almost singlehandedly, is second to Cambiasso who has been VERY mediocre this season? I would have Cambiasso at best 4th after JC, let alone over their best player.

But Maicon is a big big loss, so thats pretty weakening.
