Reports: Mancio snubbed by Blues
Sunday 25 May, 2008

There are rumours that Inter Coach Roberto Mancini has suffered a humiliating rejection from Chelsea.

Mancini’s future is up in the air in spite of last weekend’s Scudetto success.

The Ancona-born tactician has been tipped for a San Siro exit since he threatened to quit the Beneamata back in March and Portuguese mastermind Jose Mourinho has been widely backed as his successor.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Inter boss approached Chelsea yesterday in the immediate aftermath of Avram Grant’s dismissal, but he was snubbed.

“His representatives have repeatedly knocked on our door, but he isn’t our man,” a source inside the club is reported as saying.

Mancini is expected to meet with President Massimo Moratti within the next week to discuss the direction they will take, but is currently refusing to talk to the Press as rumours perpetuate.

Moratti has stressed his desire to keep his current man in the hot seat, but he could be forced to look for an alternative this summer.

what if moratti threaten him with revealing his bone age?
Bone age-from Goal.com

massimo moratti has pioneered a breakthrough in medical technology, by inserting his spindly, thin, gnat-fucking bone into the ass of inter players he is able to asses their age, fatigue and ability to "choke" under pressure, all are vitally important to Inter and has become a vital part of their weekly fitness checks

Milan & Barca Close To Zambrotta Agreement

AC Milan and Barcelona are closing on an agreement over a transfer fee for Gianluca Zambrotta.

The 31-year-old has been strongly tipped to leave Catalonia for several months now as he and his wife have become increasingly homesick since moving there from Juventus in 2006.

The Italian press have long stated that a transfer to Milan was inevitable, however there had been some problems in agreeing over a transfer fee.

On Friday evening Milan general manager Adriano Galliani travelled to Spain to dine with Barcelona president Joan Laporta at the city’s Hotel Majestic, and the pair discussed Zambrotta, Ronaldinho, as well as Samuel Eto’o.

During dinner, Laporta agreed to drop his asking price for Zambrotta from €12m to €10m, while Galliani upped his offer from €7m to €8m.

With now just €2m separating the two sides, it should not be too much longer before a final price is agreed upon.

It is reported that Zambrotta would prefer if the transfer was sealed before the start of Euro 2008. Italy play their first game of the tournament against Holland on June 9, and the ex-Bari man is likely to be fielded on the right hand side of defence.

Sensi Tells Inter: We're The Real Champions

Roma chief Rosella Sensi was delighted with last night’s Coppa Italia final victory over Inter, and has labelled the Giallorossi as the “real champions of Italy”.

The Romans defeated their bitter northern rivals 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico courtesy of goals from Philippe Mexes and Simone Perrotta.

The win ensured that Inter didn’t complete a domestic double, after they had pipped Roma to the Scudetto last Sunday by just two points.

This championship success was not taken well by some Giallorossi players, with Daniele De Rossi notoriously claiming that the referees had won the Scudetto for Inter.

“We are the real champions of Italy,” declared Sensi, with a message directed at the Nerazzurri.

“It's an immense joy, I want to dedicate this victory to my father, who unfortunately couldn’t make the game.

“This is an very important achievement because it is as deserved as the Scudetto,” she stated on Rai.

“It was a huge victory that was what we completely merited and it is an objective that so many others never reach.”

The Sensi family's control over Roma is still in huge doubt, as talk of a foreign takeover refuses to go away.

it doesnt matter how great a player is when he comes to inter, inter almost certainly will ruin them .. im not worried. you know its all over when you join inter and dont get out quickly.

i wonder what it feels like to watch zambrotta in milan. salman made good points regarding those who left (and did not leave) us during calciopoli (either by choice or force) - and i have no hard feelings towards any of those who left except zlatan, his behaviour in inter disgusts me

having said that, i already knew del piero was going to stay because hes del piero, but honestly? i expected zambro to stay too. i am unsure if he was sold by force (i think i read that somewhere) but even so, that doesnt cut it out for me. i only had expectations from both of them - del piero and zambrotta - and one of them disappointed me heavily. him leaving juve was one of the worst transfers i had to endure. i recall telling people pre calciopoli how i cant wait to see zambrotta in the captain's armband etc and for all that to blow in your face in the manner that it did .. theres no going back

if he joins milan ... i really dont know what i'd feel

Welcome back Chievo

They secured their serie A promotion.
One of Juve's favorite opponents. In the 10 serie A matches between us and them (from 2001 till 2006) we won 9 times and drew only once.
Lets loan them few youngsters and secure 6 points for the next season :D

If Bologna win their next match then they will also secure automatic promotion.

In the playoffs there are Pisa, Albinoleffe and Brescia. The team in 3rd place is Lecce and they are 1 point behind Bologna

It's a good book. I've read it. It's about Hellas Verona though, not Chievo.
