Yay! The most boring team is out - Chievo. Forza Siena (6 easy points for us :D) and Reggina.
And to think Chievo won the Champions League this year!

(OK, it was Milan by proxy of the slot that Chievo earned, but...)

Man, 15 minutes toward the late end of the Siena-Lazio match today was some of the craaaaziest football I've seen in a long time.

Tanti auguri a Siena -- salvezza è dolce!

Financial scandal to hit clubs? Saturday 2 June, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A new scandal is set to hit Italian football after Sampdoria and Messina were accused of some very creative accounting.

The investigation into the financial affairs of Serie A clubs has concluded with warnings that Sampdoria President Riccardo Garrone, director general Beppe Marotta, Messina patron Pietro Franza and Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani could possibly face charges.

The inquiry began when former Bologna President Giuseppe Gazzoni Frascara accused several clubs of “administrative doping.”

The allegations stretch back to 2002-03 and claim that the sides artificially inflated the prices of youth team players to make their balance sheets look healthier than they really were.

Specifically the investigation is based around Ikechukwu Kalù, who had half his contract sold by Samp to Milan for £1.3m and Luca Antonini moving the other way for £2.7m.

Messina risk far more, as the local courts allege that all the balance sheets between 2001 and 2006 were affected by similar strategies. No charges have yet been brought.

I notice that a certain team has not been mentioned, yet they were up to their necks in massaging the figures. It seems that moRATti has been bribing people to keep inter from being prosecuted - AGAIN!

Only in Interland.

They made some shirts for the merdazzurri to celebrate their 100th anniversary during the scudetto presentation. So far so good. The thing is that the shirts had (Centenario Nerazzuro) on it. IT TAKES 2 R's in nerazzuRRo.

That's not all folks...They put "8 marzo" on the shirt as the date In*** was founded but in fact they were on March 9th.

They will replace them with ones with correct dates and words.

“You can stick your Scudetto up your ****”
The banner held up by Massimo Ambrosini on the Milan team bus sends an eloquent message to Inter

“I haven’t won it in 42 years.”
As does Gennaro Gattuso’s giant badge parodying the official ‘I am an Interista’ slogan
:rofl2::rofl2:
