I don't rate Serie A defenders these days but Italian teams (with some exceptions like Roma and Pescara) tend to close spaces and defend deeply, which makes it harder for the opponent to score goals.
The defending in Germany and Italy is better than England's and Spain's.
Shame that he hasn't joined this forum yet. Would be a fantastic addition.
Or actually he told me that he had to leave this forum a while ago because someone had said that Felipe Melo deserved another chance in the Zebra shirt.
A shame, he's a good kid. Haha i feel him, i read that some people here wanted Borriello to stay, Borrifuckingello I'd shoot that bastard down myself if i could.

I think EPL may have the worst defenses for the most part. Some teams in there still defend very well. But nowadays apparently defense doesn't necessarily win you games anymore so you'll see the big teams put everyone forward and leave a lot of open spaces in the back.
