Israel is their only stable long-term ally in the extremely unstable region.
Nah. Turkey's a NATO member. There's no strategic need for Israel neither political nor in terms of military.

America's support of Israel is simply due to American politics.

Very telling how bad Israel's propaganda machine has gotten these days when the RUS' of the world are the only Israel-apologists left now.

So now you're a historian? I think Europeans (mostly Christians) have been more responsible for persecution of Jews than any Muslim civilization in history. Have you ever read up on Jews under Muslim Spain? Or how the Ottomans sent ships to rescue Jews when they were being killed by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella?

edit:

Jew and Muslim Were Brothers in Spain

Spain, you report (news article, April 1), has reached out to Jews 500 years after the Jewish expulsion from the peninsula by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. You refer once or twice to Arabs and Muslims, without relating the tragedy of Muslim expulsion from Spain by the same monarchs. It was shortly after the fall of Granada, which destroyed the Muslim protection of the Jews, on Jan. 2, 1492, that Ferdinand and Isabella ordered the Jewish banishment on March 31, 1492.

You refer to the influential Jewish position and contribution in Spain. Jewish creative energy blossomed within the free environment provided by Islam, which recognized Jews and Christians as "people of the book," equal with all others in the sight of God. Musa bin Maimoon (1135-1204) wrote his "Daleel al-Ha'ereen" in Arabic. This great Arab-Jewish intellectual and philosopher is known in the West as Maimonides, author of "The Guide to the Perplexed."

Your reference to Jewish influence "linked to the Spanish courts and to Arab rulers" is misleading. There was undoubtedly great appreciation of the Jews as talented human individuals. This appreciation was not in the Christian Spanish courts of the North, but in Muslim Arab courts and homes in Andalusia.
If there were 100,000 to 200,000 Jews expelled from Spain as a result of intolerance, there were several million Muslims expelled earlier. In connection with the Jewish expulsion, mention should be made that the Muslim sultan of the Ottoman Empire sent ships to Spanish ports to rescue the 100,000 to 200,000 expelled Jews. They were welcomed in Muslim lands in North Africa, Egypt and the Middle East as brothers in monotheism. The Jewish community in Turkey is planning many celebrations this year to express its appreciation for the rescue efforts of their Muslim brothers, who saved them from certain death.

Arab and Muslim optimists hope that in a free Palestine, Jews and Muslims and Christian Arabs together can recreate the environment of brotherhood and amity that prevailed in Spain. M. T. MEHDI President American-Arab Relations Committee New York, April 1, 1992

When you're blockaded and under siege for many years in a small enclave, naturally you will resist the occupier. It's human nature. Every action has a reaction. It is their right to resist.

i cnt believe yall getting trolled so easily :D
Trolling requires a conscious functioning mind, I don't think RUS has that.

@Orgut, politics aside I like you so my advice is to not see RUS as an ally even if he is siding with you.here because no one can take him seriously.

Israel saying it's their land because of back then would be like Native Americans wanting all non natives to fuck off because they got here first. Nah, it's everyone's land now.
