This is what you get, when these kind of stuff is tolerated for a long time, people get used to it and try to push the boundries even more.
I'm talking about here, on the forum though. We all have Juve as something in common, that we can all agree with at least. And most other threads above these part of the forum its usually for the most part much more tolerable and fun. As soon as you come to these kinds of threads, people frankly just can't stand when someone disagrees with them...which is fine and all, but no need to get nasty about it. Accept the differences and have a solid debate/dialogue...hell, talk about Dzeko just don't get nasty. Anyways, that's my opinion on the overall mood in this thread. :D

No it isn't this have nothing to do with religion. If you would take religion out, I guarantee you that they would have next reason within an hour.

Religion to these people is just an excuse, not the reason.
somewhat true, but i feel the main reason stems from one group thinking they're better than the other due to religious history.

In this thread it's summed up nicely by this: You can't put forward one pro-Israeli argument about the situation today without degrading the Palestinians to sub humans. That is the only way you can justify the happenings in the strip is simply by removing the Palestinian humanity and dealing with objects instead of people.

Religion always seems to be the main focal point. My religions is right, yours is wrong.
This goes beyond religion.

No. The Slavic genocide in WW2 in terms of numbers, was much more severe than the jewish Holocaust. But you can't say that today because you'll be labelled as an anti-semite. Imagine the amount of ridicule I would receive if I to this day still hung on to the fact that close to 32 million slavs died in WW2 and therefore I should get special treatment today.
I wouldn't call you an anti-Semite. I would call you one of the many sick-headed clowns who think genocide is a victimization contest with a leaderboard projected in attributed kills.

This "I'm a bigger victim than you" crap is the lamest rap music dis I've ever heard. Whether it's 6 million, 24 million, or 200,000, none of those deaths make them any more righteous than any other.

The glorification of victimhood -- and the exploitation of the dead to offer some kind of fake currency of entitlements to the living -- is beyond abhorrent.

Are you sure you're reading my post properly? A historical fact is a historical fact and in that post I argue against the relevance of historical facts in the discourse of today. Jewish references to the holocaust and anti-semitism every time a statement isn't favorable to them is just as silly as if I made Serbian claims to Croatia because of Jasenovac.

You, as a moderator, should really read posts before resorting to insults. Seriously, you come off as an absolute asshole in that post. You virtually took everything I said and turned it 180 to then call me a clown.

Luca does make an interesting point, though. As far as outrage that hits our ears here in the "west" it is almost exclusively limited to the "the outside enemy" ie. Israel or anyone challenging the religion. Meanwhile there are countless atrocities in places like Syria or Bahrain that never provoke the kind of large scale populist protests that a few cartoons did. So what does that mean? It means that either news reporting in the "west" is unforgivably ideological (but also incredibly consistent across various countries for some strange reason) or these atrocities just don't cause the same kind of mobilization.

maybe because this is the worst humanitarian crisis since rwanda, or that israel has been oppressing these people for the last 80 years regardless of what the world thinks.

Yo... I think you confused my abhorrence to the conventional wisdom with abhorrence to you personally. Whether or not you subscribe to the body count theory of entitlement is up to you. Theoretical or not, I still wouldn't label you and anti-Semite but something much worse.
