Definitely less stable. Obviously not better with ISIS, which sounds like an evil organization from a bond film, running a muck.

Just goes to show that Bush and Cheney are two of the worst ever.

Same as before the US occupation?
Places like Iraq even if they change minutely with your so called" US occupation " will never truly change because their culture is the problem. Mindset is ancient and unwavering

center and birthplace of civilization?
That's debatable and even if it was true, so far gone from that empire that it's not only a shame but a disgrace

Less stable because they don't have a tyrant killing them or raping them when they were out of line, but hey stability is so much more important

Whether it's Saddam killing them or them killing each other is worse is debatable.
Well at least if they kill each other it's there own choice. The USA had a civil war other countries as well. Saddam was a tyrant and didn't give anyone choice. The issue in the end is the problem with the mindset of these countrymen and their inability to put ancient meaningless tribal idiocy behind them. That's why they will never be able to self rule

so called US occupation? lol how much do i have to wait or pay to read one piece of fact in your replies here? iraq had a better educated population before the gulf war than the US, which also happens to live under the tyranny of a 2 party system bought and provided for by big business. your view is myopic and way too simplistic pointing to an utter ignorance of the subject.

Kind of makes you wonder why we invaded in the first place. A 9 year waste of time and money.

Saddam quelled revolts the same way every country does so, ask the vietnamese.
Yeah I know. He was da wedge between the shiites and the sunnis. Gassed the kurds a couple times, but otherwise a decent fellow.

First off you have no idea about my view just because I put US occupation in quotes you assume I don't believe in an occupation. Our view is actually almost identical. The US is no longer a constitutional republic it is an oligarchy run by the symbiotic relationship of big business and government. The reason I put so called is because it wasn't just the US other oligarchy shad their hands in it as they are all symbiotically tied together, through the banks and money manipulation

I know about 7 guys who originate from Iraq that train in my gym or the previous one(whom i still see at university). And they all pretty much say the same thing.
When Saddam was in power, iraq was doing quite well, and he kept the different religious beliefs from assaulting each other, ruling with an iron hand and quelling each issue.
Because things went well, people over there didnt really see that much issue with it.

Then the US provoked the first gulf war, and started the second. Current day iraq is a broken place, nothing like what it used to be. Nobody respects the american occupants, or the puppet goverment and police force. People still die due to self made bombs and attacks.

Not a single one of them believes it got remotely better.
