What a display by Brazil last night, incredible. I still don't like Neymar though :p Good luck stealing Messi's spotlight at Barca though ;)
maybe it causes some problems in barca, I saw something last day about Johan Cruyff, he said barca should sell messi now, because neymar is going to steal the show in barca as you said and they would dislike each other.

Brazil played really well and had a crazy tempo, but I think this tournament and result has flattered them a little bit. Next year there will be better planning and tempo from others. Even though Spain didn't play well and didn't look in great shape in midfield they still could have taken a result from the game with a couple of key chances that went the wrong way.

You could see from Brazil's application that they were well up for this one in front of their fans, and it'll be interesting to see how they do next summer.

As for Spain they really need to find a system or replacement for Torres, he just plays his own little game and seems on a different wavelength to the rest of the team. When Villa came on you could see the instant link up with others.

It's far too early to write them off, but they need to get Xabi Alonso or Javi Martinez in there alongside Busquets, because Spain's best success has come with playing two DMs.

Italy have no hope. Get real there is no Totti to pull them up, nor is there a young Pirlo. Competition will be much stiffer than the Euro's, I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of the US, Ghana or Japan knocking out Italy. They are average as fuck.
If Balotelli and Ogbonna play there is always a chance they might win a game.

@Fr3sh Japan, Ghana, and above all the US beating Italy :trollol: :yao:

Italy, Germany, Argentina, and Brazil to make the semis (depending on the draw of course) :D

England and Holland will struggle. Spain will get rattled, and Italy will have the advantage of having played in these conditions

You're pretty clueless when it comes to football I've noticed.
Of course. Says the one that rates Matri...you think he'll pull them up? Italy=/=Juventus

italy's midfield belongs on the benny hill show, it is no coincidence they struggle against teams that play physically, japan and brazil in this tourney, so i am with fresh here
Thank you. Japan bulldozed them, and their midfield isn't the only shit hole, so is their attack. Balotelli being the only reference point, and Giach being one their main offensive threat along with Diamanti will surely bring them far.

Italy have just as much chance of winning as England or Holland, and they don't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Germany or Brazil. Their midfield is absolute shit and they are one or two injuries away from being completely sup-bar.

Japan traumatized them and they were unlucky to dispatch Italy, US 8 years ago put up a very good fight against a much much better Italian team, imagine what they would do to this one, and as much I dislike them man they would be good enough to dispose of Italy and the thought of them or Japan going further than them is not inconceivable.
Mark my words the likes of Portugal, USA, France and even Japan will go further than Italy if there is no fresh blood being injected into this squad. If the likes of El-Sharaawy, Insigne, Maronne, Verrati and other potentially good younger players do not step-up Italy can kiss the semi's goodbye.

Neville should apologise for what he said about David Luiz. Luiz is a great defender and undervalued. He showed some great defending this Cup.

He surprised me in the finals! He actually outshined Thiago Silva that night! Looked tidier, always wanted to go forwards and not to forget the theatrics.

TS was the best, he can't really compete with him imo but Luiz improved much since moving to Chel$ea.

This guy would probably start in all top teams in Europe. Sadly, some journalists/experts bash him at every oppertunity they get.

He's a great defender too. He won a CL while his defensive skills were tested under the highest pressure and the best opposition possible.
It's the mistakes that mean he isn't. We can all see what he can do on a physical and technical level, he has it all to be one of best. Just not upstairs, he switches off.

Put him in big situations and it focuses his mind, but don't be surprised to see more mistakes from him.

Yeah, hermanito. He's great. This guy would start at Juve without a friggin' doubt.
Bascially what Jay said, he'd make a good midfielder imo. But nowhere near he'll ever be a great defender.

Chel$ea had their difficulties, AVB and others weren't able to create a solid defence.

I'm not saying he doesn't make errors and he probably is the better 'footballer' than a defender but with a competent CB next to him, you can see a whole new side of him. I'm think he'll prove many wrong with Mourinho back in London.
