The French are horrible. I can't believe how poor they are. Barely beat Lithuania by one goal, and the performance was generally poor. With the quality they have in their squad Gourcuff, Ribery, Nasri, Benzema, Diarra, Toulalan, Henry, Evra. There's so much quality there.

But Zidane isn't there. The only way they'll do anything is if he comes out of retirement.

Why did he get subbed off?
I think they wanted to put Deco in and the two seemed to be the best overlap of positions.

This despite a particularly putrid display by Danny, who could not hit the earth if dropped out of an airplane. (Raul Meireles being a close second in that category.)

I expect the Belgian coach to be sacked one of these days. He left out four or five of our best players, didn't say why, and lost 2-4 to a Bosnia side who are far less talented. I'm not saying we have a great team, but if you don't play your best team in a game you have to win, you're a moron. Even the players were mad. It has been a while since I have seen such a madman in charge of a NT.

Any idea why Ricardo wasn't selected?
