Spector got burned by Elia and made some uncharacteristically poor crosses. Below average match for him.

I'd still stick with him over Dolomite, however.

I thought DeMerit was good today as well. Cut out a lot of crosses in the air and didn't get burned on the dribble. I think DeMerit and Gooch should be the duo at the back, as I've said for months now.

Move Boca out left.
I wasn't considering the Gooch, just focusing on players we had today.

First thing you said when Robben didn't control the ball, was 'pathetic'.

Anyway, not here to argue, I was just saying. Thought the smiley would do the trick.
But that WAS pathetic. How can you claim otherwise? The guy had a chance to bring the ball down and score with his right, but he tried to use his left and missed the trap. That's like something a 12 year-old would do because he isn't good with his opposite foot.

That wasn't meant to make fun of your team, read my post above.

We always go out early, right after the group stages, and I've gotten so used to it that I'm fully expecting us to go out early aswell. I don't agree on us having a weak group of players though, we have plenty of creativity in midfield and upfront, we just lack a bit in defence.

When our guys step it up we can be really good, like in the group stages at the Euros, but like my German mates always tell me.. we die of beauty. Won't be any different in SA.
I meant weak compared to other Dutch teams of the past.

Well yea, it's Robben's main flaw, but pathetic... Concentration wasn't really at an all time high tonight.

Fair enough though.

Andy, I'm still waiting to hear your thoughts on these three guys starting for the Azzurrini today:

In addition to them, one guy from Argentina also started the match for the Italian u-21.

Actually, I'm not so much interested in hearing your thoughts as I am in hearing the thoughts of those Azzurri fanboys who were laughing at France and blaming them how the players they field aren't French (just because they are Black).

Actually the point made about those players was that they weren't actually from France (Thuram, Vieira, Makelele, Desailly). Why would people say it because they were black? :shifty: Obviously France has loads of former colonies in Africa and the Caribbean, this isn't 1824 anymore though.
