This might sound strange, but I think there's something going on with Del Piero. I've been in Italy for two weeks and I barely heard anything about him. Normally he practically has his own page in la Gazzetta, so I'm a bit wary at the moment.

Oh and Vieira, wow.
I read about Vieri, I read about Pizarro, I read about Toni and the pending departure of Gilardino, that is apparently only held back by judges, and then I read about Vieira.

A "colpo straordinario" indeed.

What might be the problem, you think?

I think they might sell him. It seems pretty logical to me. In fact I was convinced they were going to involve him in the Vieira - deal. La Gazzetta says everything is great between Capello and Del Piero at the moment, but quite frankly I'm not buying it. DP is talking about next season, but he hardly seems convinced. It's pretty halfheartedly if you ask me, which makes me believe DP's not too sure he'll be here next season.

I think that selling him to buy someone else (Cassano for example) is a huge mistake. Already a new member in the forward line will be introduced (Mutu), selling a player who has played along Zlatan, Trezeguet and Zalayeta to buy a new player will disturb the momentum. Other signings in the other departments is ok as it will serve to strengthen the team.

I hope he stays, it is wrong to sell him at this moment.

It might be.

On a different note, I saw our possible starting line ups today and well.. we're going to win the CL next season. We look great!

Something we say every year. It is true that Vieira is a great addition which will add more stabilty, balance and creativity. Mutu as well is an added value to the team and last but not least the hope that Trezeguet does not get injured. Will this make us win the CL, you cannot be sure. This competition is the most unpredictable.

Actually it's the first time I say it in 10 years :D.
