I don't think he'll sign with the Galaxy. Beyond that, I don't think he'll play in the MLS.

He keeps talking about project, about making something important, like he did in Sydney (Trying to increase popularity of football in Australia, you know). MLS isn't a project. He won't change much. Beckham played there, Henry is playing there, it's not like this league is waiting only for him. In Japan, on the other hand, the situation is simillar to Australia. I don't say he'll sign in the J-league, but it's much more likely than America IMO.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see him in the MLS :xfinger:

Del Piero: All doors open
By Football Italia staff

Alessandro Del Piero says he is not closing the door to the possibility of moving to any club, including back to Juventus.

The Old Lady icon is looking for a new team, having recently left Australian outfit Sydney FC, but speaking to Sky he did not rule out making a shock return to Turin.

He also discussed this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, expressing his hope that Italy’s players will enjoy the moment of participating in the tournament.

“Everyone’s dream is an Italy-Brazil final, but for good luck I won’t say anything,” Del Piero said. “I will just wish them very good luck.

“The World Cup is a fantastic moment in the career of any footballer and I hope they live the moment to the best they can.

“Obviously you have to mention Brazil as favourites, though they will play a role of both favourites and underdogs. Playing at home gives you a big advantage but it is also a heavy burden.

“My future? I’ve heard from Japan, America and other places but nothing is yet decided. We will see, maybe I’ll look for something during the World Cup.

“Juventus? It’s not a new question. At the moment we are beginning a new adventure and I have underlined my link with Juventus many times.

“In the future anything can happen, I’m not closing the door to anyone.”

Finally, the 39-year-old was asked whether he thought there were signs of any new Alessandro Del Piero.

“In recent years I haven’t followed things as much because I haven’t been in Italy. I have seen a lot of great talents emerging and some of them are in the national team now.

“I hope they can have a great career.”
