here Totti's words

Francesco Totti admits he was “moved” by the goodbyes to Alessandro Del Piero and Gennaro Gattuso, but “I hope to play for a long time yet.”

The Roma captain is the only remaining ‘bandiera’ (flag) of a club after Del Piero, Pippo Inzaghi, Gattuso, Alessandro Nesta and Marco Di Vaio all finished their Serie A careers this summer.

“Am I the last bandiera in Italian football? Unfortunately yes, but I hope to play for a long time yet,” Totti told TG1.

“I too was moved seeing all those tears. I thought to myself that my moment is coming up too, because that is my generation retiring.

“I think Alex will go to America rather than the Premier League,” added Del Piero’s 2006 World Cup winning teammate.

To me Ale is the best because he possesses every FK taking technique possible, where's Juninhos, Mihas and Beckhams always shot the same way...
The man has vision and technique. If you play back his freekicks, you can see how often he exploits the other goalkeepers mistakes and weaknesses as much as he uses his own skill.
