Not a popular thing to say, but the plays before his injury.. The guy was invincible. Don't get me wrong, he was incredibly classy after, but if people say he was never quite like he was in 1998.. they may have a point. Just look at some of his moves that year. I don't think Zidane or Ronaldo were any better at that time. To be honest, I doubt they even came close.

To be frank, I fear that, if Alex goes to EPL, with the physical preparation they do there, with the weight room work they do.. He'll be a very fit player once again and he'll come back to haunt us.

Although not blessed with amazing speed, he was more than quick enough prior to his injury. Sad to say, but if he had suffered that injury 5 years later, with all of the medical advances, he would have regained most of that speed back. People tend to forget that prior to that injury, he was blessed with a lot of quickness

True. And look at the true stars today. The Messi's and Ronaldo's don't even tear their ACL's, because of the way they (are taught to) run and move. And if they did, they'd be back to where they were before. If you're a basketball or football pro, things are different. But a soccer athlete with a torn ACL can return.

If you take a look at all the goals scored by Alex pre-injury and post injury, you will find something startling.

Pre-Injury, a majority of his goals were scored by beating the defender who was marking him. Post Injury, you noticed a lot more of the goals "A La Del Piero". Those looping, curving shots finding the corners of the net, however, a lot of the time it was in front of the defensive wall.

If anything, it is a testament to Alex that he was able to adjust his game accordingly. Baggio did it, not once, but twice, and to be honest, only the true greats can do this after such an injury and still maintain a level of class above the others.

Still, Alex prior to that injury was as complete a #10 as you could find.

ale goes to arsenal, and then potentially there is a chance that we face him and have to eliminate him in the CL knockout stages? HELL NO! I would not be able to handle that

I understand. But to me it would hurt, because his career would be over. I don't intend to ridicule the MLS, but that's just how I see it. It's a bit like Russia. It might be a decent league, there might be decent players, but your career is still finished.
It's better than being a mascot for the next few years.

I think Ale will get a lot of playing time in arsenal considering their quality and the amount of tournaments they would be playing in. I would love it if Ale scores against us as long as we end up beating arsenal.

Well let hope Ale is never headed towards mickey mouse leauge, if he is headed to a team that has no chance of playing in CL then it should be China where he will be a living god and earn millions.

It sucks how after living in a place for almost 20 years, ale and his family have to simply pack up and leave everything. Start a new beginning. Look for a new house, new schools. This isn't the way it was supposed to be. Torino is Ale's city
