E’ strano allenarsi a fine campionato con questo clima tutt’altro che primaverile, e soprattutto con tutta questa pioggia. Di sicuro finora non abbiamo patito il caldo…
Mi sto allenando bene in vista della partita contro il Parma, l’ultima partita della stagione davanti ai nostri tifosi, un momento che come in tutte le stagioni ha sempre dei significati particolari, anche in un anno come questo che certamente non ci ha riservato soddisfazioni. Per questo e non soltanto ci tengo particolarmente a chiudere bene il campionato, anche perché sarebbe fondamentale per la nostra classifica in chiave Europa League. Insomma, per salutare con un successo i nostri tifosi contro il Parma, e per il prestigio di una sfida come quella contro il Milan, ci sono tutti gli stimoli per dare il massimo in queste ultime due partite, prima di concentrarci sui prossimi traguardi.

It is kind of strange to train at the end of the championship, in the days that are real far from being called spring and above all when it’s raining cats and dogs every day. One thing is sure: up to now, nobody can complain about the weather being too hot…
I’m having good trainings, waiting for the match against Parma, the last game of this season, at home, in front of all our supporters, a moment that like in any other season always has different significances, and even more in a year that didn’t bring any contentments. That’s why I do care to wrap up well this championship, also because it would be fundamental for our placings for Europa League. So, before moving on to the next targets, there are all the reasons to give our best in these two last games: first to salute our supporters, winning the game against Parma and to do well in the challenging game against Milan because of the prestige of this match.

On Sunday, the 9th of May, give your Mummy an Azalea for Research With 15 euro help AIRC to turn cancer into curable disease.
The Alzalea for Research event is one of the most important initiatives of AIRC and not only for its dimension –on this day more than 650.000 plants are distributed in more than 3.500 Italian squares by 20.000 volonteers- but also for its target: to raise around 10 millions of euros to finance the best projects on female tumors research.
Also Sonia Del Piero and Alice Gilardino take the pitch again to support the Research: this year they are again among the testimonials for the initiative.
In just 30 years, the average successful treatment of the tumors has more than doubled and for some forms of cancer – above all, for the breast cancer – the cases of recovery have reached 80-90%. Behind this statistics there are a lot of components: profound knowledge of molecular alteration of tumors, the continuous improvement of the early diagnosis, the prevention measures and new terapies aimed to defeat cancer, more innovative technologies and at last, the new approach assumed by the well informed population toward the illness.
Azalea for Research Day is traditionally held on the Mother’s Day, and this is an excellent opportunity to inform women – and, this year, also men! – on the research progress and to invite all to pay more attention to the prevention of the illness and to their own health protection.
The union against cancer – that brings together researchers, supporters and media that spread the message of AIRC – has an enormous force and will contribute to speed up the action of “crumbling away” of the two first letters in the word “incurable”, helping the research to turn the cancer into curable illness
Women and men together for prevention is the title of the booklet that will be distributed in the squares together with Alzalea, it contains useful information aimed to reduce the risk to get ill. The guide booklet deals with two dangerous cancer forms in particular: lung cancer and colon-rectum cancer,traditionally thought of as typically male problems, but nowadays not that exclusive anymore. The increase of female cases is mostly linked to the changes in the life style: to be informed is the best way to possibly prevent the onset. Thus, the booklet becomes the service tool for the whole family, helps to be fully aware of the importance of the protection of your own health.
