I wanna start a new compaign over here:

"Retire il numero 10, after Del Grande retires" :eyebrows:
That would be stupid; the #10 shirt is the most sought-after number in football. Why would you prevent another player, who deserves it just as much as Del Piero, from wearing it? It's the symbol for a team's best player on the pitch, not in a team's history.

I've always been against retiring numbers. Wouldn't the person taking over DP's number 10 be forced to play well carrying the legacy of Del Piero? Isn't it better to turn it into a plus rather than preventing future Juve stars from using the magic 10?

Thats a good point. But the same would also go with number 3 at milan or 6. Some clubs/fans would soo much want to do something for their players to make them remmbered for life. I'm not against pulling number 10 with Dp or keeping It.

However, I'd like soo much the club to honor him, maybe like we said earlier, make a statue of him or something like this.

Retiring numbers is silly. How proud would the next one who gets to wear number 10 be? He would be overwhelmed that he inherited the shirt from a great legend.

Why not name a stand after Alex if and when the new stadium is finished? Might be a more likely option than a statue.

Undecided whether retiring the shirt is a good option, probably rather the club just made sure the replacement for Alex is worthy of the No. 10 shirt.
