Pele won the world cup with an excellent team, but diego won the world cup with a good team. Diego also won the seria A with Napoli, imagine that?? maybe they r shoulders to shoulders but i believe in terms of popularity, diego perhaps edge out Pele...
sorry Pele fans..=P
however, i am curious, could Ronaldinho become the next Big thing?
so far the world only recognize two great football kings, they r pele n diego.
not even ronaldo, zidane, cruff could be on par with those two..

in terms of azzurri, i believe besides juve fans, majority of italia fans/football fans would reckon baggio has a more succesful NT experience than Ale. Almsot single handedly brought Italy back from the dead to the final of 94. He missed the penalty, so what? this happens once in a while...but he is stil a legend of Italia, and the scene he bowed down his head and wipped is perhaps one of the most unforgetable scene in the world cup history...
so, Baggio has sealed his legendary status..=)

baggio is without a doubt a better player than del piero
In term of talent then they're both very talented player. In terms of skills, I'll stick with our Captain, after-all he's done things in his career so far, even Maradona saluted them.

Baggio was a success in Italian jersey, thats why Italians do love him more than Del Piero.

No, because he fails to perform on the International stage like he does on the Club stage.

WTF are those people talking about man? Suspending the league for 1-2 years? What the hell's gonna happen to the footballers, they all gonna become shit after a year of layoff, and what are 30+ years old ones are supposed to do? Retire?

Nonsense...

If italian football stops for two years most of players will leave and then we're going to have a fucked up league with unkown players. Nah, that's not going to happen.

If that's how long the incompetent interesti :)pumpkin: :pumpkin: ) that guido rossi put into Figc need to sort this out they should resign or be sacked!

We hope not! Even to halt football for a few months would wreck the finances of smaller teams & they could go under. Even so, it will wreck Italian football. We need a solution NOW!

When Alessandro Del Piero hangs his boots he will have left a mark so big in Italian football that he will be remembered 50 years into the future. It's incredible.
