It was great to watch Ale on the field again and hear the supportive crowd. Was great also to see his mother with Sonia (looked fantastic tonight) and Tobias. Sydney's defense still sucks, and they must work a lot. They posses the ball but they can't create scoring chances unless Ale goes down to 30-35 meters away from goal to give a magic touch, but it doesn't fit with Farina's plan who wants him always infront of goal so he will be able to score a lot. Ale had some great touches like always, but you can easily see that he hasn't played for 5 months. It was great how the fans shouted "Del Piero, Del Piero" when Sydney got the penalty few minutes after he left the pitch :D

Ale played 10 minutes today in Sydney's win 5-3 over a combined team of Udinese's resevers and primavera players. Next match: against Venezia on August 13.

Btw, Sydney's scouting sucks or what? They sign players like Marchel, 27 years old that recently played in Germany's fifth tier. Can't they find something better???

That first goal was an utter disgrace! Between the keeper and defender that should never have been a goal! It is the age old rule, either go forward without blinking or sit back, if you in two minds you're (almost) inevitably going to concede... :(
