You haven't been following his entire discours, Jack. According to him:

1. The media is fully under control of Berlusconi. This does not mean that Berlusconi has them write what he wants them to, it means that they will write against Turk's own beliefs. In this case they would want to see Ambrosini, just because Turk doesn't.
2. Sicialians are all mafiosi and will kill when given the opportunity.
3. An Italian Inter fan is of a different race and deserves to die.
I can't deny the truth in this one actually...

Consider this :

You're an Italian Juve fan. 10 years from now, Juventus will have no Italians on the team. Would it be fair for me to accuse you of being an alien of different race who deserves to be tortured by licking Materazzi's balls for 224324 years?

Zambro: Win or bust Wednesday 11 June, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gianluca Zambrotta admits that Italy’s game against Romania on Friday is do-or-die, while Alessandro Del Piero rallies the fans.

The world champions’ Euro 2008 campaign got off to a disastrous start with a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Holland.

Roberto Donadoni and his squad have come in for widespread criticism from the nation’s Press and fans, but after France’s draw with Romania they can turn things around with a win on Friday.

“The game against Romania is the classic all or nothing game,” Zambrotta stressed.

“We have to give 100 per cent and fight for every ball. The only result that is any good to us is a win.”

Meanwhile, Serie A Capocannoniere Del Piero, who is being tipped for a bigger role against Romania, has sent a message to the Azzurri supporters.

“It was a terrible debut and we had a negative game in many respects,” his statement reads.

“But just as we are united in victory, we need to be united in defeat. With that spirit we can regain our energy and concentration for Friday’s game, which we absolutely must win.”

Just look at his statements and look at other players statements. The man is not only a Captain or leader, he's the soul of every single team he plays in.

I am quite sure that the player with the most appearances gets the armband, so given Del Piero starts he should be captain  , can't wait.
I'm pretty sure Buffon will still be the captain.

Christian Ronaldo received the armband after Gomez today, and neither of them have the most appearances on the pitch for Portugal.
