It shouldn't be a surprise. They have always played enjoyable football to me and was the second European club team I began watching on TV. ESPN showed a lot of them in the late 90's and Rivaldo was just behind Zizou, Alex and Davids as my favorite player.

I probably would have supported a Serie A team, at the time i started watching football, my whole family were Serie A team supporters, from my dads side, they were all Juve fans, hardcore Juve fans actually. On my moms side, it was a mix between different Calcio sides.
Turk send me a personal message saying that his choice would be Inter Milan, Rab on the other hand was sincere and admit he as a fanboy would support whatever the team that Zlatan play for, Jack said he would enjoy watching Barca and Red said it would be a close call between Celtic and Rangers.

This is not a question I can seriously answer, so I wont, just cant see it, but I have to, i'll provide somewhat plausible options. It would probably be Barca or Arsenal, if one avoids Italian teams (even if Italian footie is my footie passion), big back then, but Milan dream team time wasnt to my liking, despite having a fierce Milanista of a father, also a brother and an uncle, who all tried to turn me. Cant see myself with the other italian teams even if it was the biggiest league by far and my main type of footie interest, just cant see it any probable scenario (mainly Milan as possible candidate, but as said, general aversion to them back then).
Just said Arse and Barca because those are the two I sympathize with when watching the other 2 top leagues since following footie in last 16 years, preference over the others in style and such, even if fairly neautral. English footie I cant see myself being a fan of, just cant, but mid to late 90s, prolly would been an Arsenal slowly becoming more and more un-english, Bergkamp would have made it an easy choice if it was down to a player, ridicolously classy wizard.
Barca would have been much easier choice due to the star players to draw you (generally young footie fans like a player, and then maybe that attraction may grow to fanhood), the unreal trio of Romario, Ronaldo and Rivaldo alone would sufficed, even if tons of others (Laudrup, Hagi, Stoichkov, Prosinecki, Pep etc). Even if Barca back then were a total roller coaster, teams filled with journeymen, and big chokes for several years, but still filled with kind of players to draw a first interest. I mean, Ronaldo in 96 alone, I think him alone turned insane amounts of kids to become avid footie fans with that season. Just too sick for words.

I really don't know, my situation similar to Alen except that I fell inlove with Del Piero more than any other player and as a little boy I was looking for an idol at that time and with time(maybe after couple of matches) I started not loving but worshiping Juventus.
So if Del Piero didn't exist lets say or played for a different team, I think I was going to pick one of Arsenal or Milan at that time. Arsenal because I could never stand Manchester since day 1 and they were always up to it against them in the mid 90's. And Milan because of Maldini, Custacurta, Croatian player fuck I can't remember his name now

Was same in Holland and every club he went to (except Rangers), allways warming the bench. And yeah Frank is prolly one of the models for Pep the coach, who wants defenders who can pass and dictate with long precision passes, ala Chygrinskiy, Marques and mainly Pique. Frank longpassing was great, best example is his pass to Bergkamp in that famous class goal against Argentina. Bit of a quarterback pass.
