You don't want to turn every religiously affilliated thread into a debate either. Everyone knows your opinion, ram it down our throats in your own threads or threads made to harbour arguments and debate.
I don't ram anything. Everyone who has ever read my opinion about religion has done it voluntarily.

Someone made this thread, so I replied. That's how forums work.

I'm just saying. The thread was made as a playful game and then bam..

If I were god I would kill myself for causing the suffering and death of so many of those little critters I love. Sorry about that Tsunami, I got drunk that night..
Why does it have to become a massive sledging fest? Who voluntered for that? No one asked you to give a serious opinion on the matter and the thread wasn't made for that reason there are other threads on the forum where you can do that. That's just being a massive party pooper.

I can take a crap on your doorstep and say it was being playful. Still by nature its not playful. Just like your little remarks aren't.

You can play football but you don't have to get a red card. You can have gun but you don't have to kill anyone.

You can read but you don't have to post, or you can post but something related to subject and not hijack some thread and turn it into why you can't prove me wrong. You're taking a guess as other people do cause it's all a metaphysical question and I don't know why you like to keep talking about it.

Because it fascinates me that people believe certain things.

You ask, I answer :)

People believe in many stupid things which no one even considers talking about. You believe in luck? Lucky streak, what is that? Shamans, witches, aliens. chupakabras etc. No one questions that. It's your choice if you're going to believe in that.

That, if there was a God there wouldn't be Tsunami, death, suffer & wars is just is just funny and sad if you think like that. You started all this. No one actually asked if you believe in God and your logic about it.

A thread on juventuz not panning out exactly as the thread starter (I was going to say creator, but thought it might prove controversial. :p) intended?

Who'd've thunk it.

If you open a thread and convince me you do believe in that, I'm gonna question it.

I never said if there was a god there wouldn't be tsunami. I say the concept of god makes zero sense and that the claims about what god is like are false based on the facts we have available to us. I cannot take the question "if there was a god" seriously because it's not a serious question :)

People do believe in that, I don't. Gamblers in lucky streak, people in witches and magic, many people believe in aliens and they have "proofs" while chupakabra is still on the same spot as "it exists but no one saw it".

I saw many discussions about it and yeah, it's one of that fact people use "god wouldn't do that".

You think it's funny who believes in god, others think you're funny because you think that, or think like a cave person. :) It has 2 sides.

Exactly, and I think superstitious voodoo should be questioned, because it usually is created to benefit the people who invented it in some way and often used to exploit people.

Most of what we do in our lives is based on provable fact, and that's the way it ought to be imo.

He wouldn't if he is what they claim he is. The conclusion is based on information they supply, not me making it up. All I do is take the pieces and put them together to form a rational conclusion.

I'm not keeping people from laughing their ass off at me if they want to. Ze does it on a regular basis, and since laughter is healthy I feel I'm making a positive contribution to his life :D

Do you believe in aliens? You know people have those pictures as proofs. How big is space? They say there was an explosion that happened 2 billion light years away but they don't know the planets of our solar system.

You make wars, you make people suffer but it's god who gets the blame for it like he should be the referee who tells you stop.

But still, Martin, you seem to spend plenty of time arguing that something that doesn't exist, doesn't exist. Isn't bit pointless? I mean, if someone argued that he believes there's a blue kettle somewhere in the sky, would you argue for the whole life that there is not such thing? Or would you pull off or even don't enter the discussion at all? I think the God concept seems as an important one to you in some way and that's why you can't help but discuss it.

Oh, and there doesn't have to be any pecisely defined 'object' to believe in, why do you think one must follow a religion that present a specific concept of God or gods to be able to believe in him?
