He plays a role, and does it well. He would add depth to the current Juve squad, and during the Capello years, would have been a better option than Giannichedda.

The only reason why we signed Giannichedda was because he was free. If Lazio offered him to us for 200 pennies, we wouldn't accept it. That's because he was never more than a destroyer who offensively only passed the ball to Liverani. I can name 20 players in Italy alone who do such a task, and when we saw Giannichedda play for Juventus all he did was break up some plays and pass the ball to the nearest player which didn't always work out. He never was Juventus material and it showed when he played for us.

Tacchinardi was easily better than him as well.

I absolutely loved tacchi, a player that fights and gives his all to the team in every game. But since season 2004 he proved that he isn't good enough to be a starter anymore. In the past he had some great players next to him in the midfield, but in that season(when appiah wasn't on his best form) it was evident that you can't depend on him entirely.

Anyway if he loved this club so much, why isnt he here now ? or why didnt he come back in the summer. And if hes so good why is he on the bench in a club like villareal.

the talk about emerson is just a disappointing imo. How didnt give his all over the two seasons he was here ? Last season I saw him playing game after game until his legs couldn't carry him anymore.

Same goes with zanetti this season, he is one of our best players this season ffs.

What do you mean not exactly the player we need?

Do fans like you keep looking at names and stars? What a team needs nowadays are players that are welling to give their heart for their teams. We don't see that alot lately in football. I can just name you few players.

I'd take Alessio over Emerson/Vieira anyday anytime.
You want Tacchinardi back, just because his name is Tacchinardi. Not because he'd add some new footballing element to our team, because he wouldn't. And yes if we want to make that step up next season, we ARE going to need a star.

I hate to say this, but Tacchinardi is overrated
By the juve fans yes.

I don't think a player who has played for the Azzurri team, a player that was rated and always played under someone like Lippi, a player that has won and achieved alot during his time at Juve can be un-skilled.
Under Lippi Tacchinardi was a perfect fit for the tactic. He just needed to position himself in front of the defence(while Davids went after the ball) and offensively he could always let Nedved and others do the work. In DD's formation, he'd be more exposed and you'd see his limitations as we saw them under Capello.

Well, what can you say, Rab. Some people prefer really good mercenaries over people who actually love this club and give 100% for our shirt.
there is no comparing Tacchinardi to Emerson as much as I respect the former.
Besides someone like Emerson gave always 100%.

Anyway I always liked Tacchinardi like everybody, but getting him back would just be a step backwards. We have players that offer the same and more already. Besides it would probably only hinder the playing time of more talented players. I don't doubt though that we'll see Tacchinardi back at our club as his loan stint ends and he apparently wants to come back. I'm not exactly exited about it though, as it could mean instead of getting someone who is of much more quality we are going to settle for a servant who gets to play at juventus only on the basis of his status and not on the merits of good play.

Giving your everything for the jersey will automatically allow you to add some new footballing element to our team.

Sadly, we're no Real Madrid not Chelsea or Inter. We're Juventus, and i'm glad we don't purchase stars like other teams do. We all know how things end at the end.

Nobody is expecting Alessio to play 38 consecutive games, like what Capello did to Emerson. Rotation is what should be done in midfield mostly. Take a look at this season, we're running out of players because of injuries. Alessio can be very useful, not to also mention he would add depth for the squad just like Dp, Pavel and Buffon incase he'll remain with us.

However, I think Didier knows Alessio's role better than us. Knowing that Didier was a midfielder, he'd know how to use Alessio.
