I did, those who went to school after 1991 didn't. I'm also reliant on Bulgarian, Serbian and Macedonian history literature, so even if I didn't know it I was gonna have to learn it.
Those who don't need it, have no chance to learn it. To them the Cyrillic letters are more or less the same as they are to you.
In Croatia the Latin alphabet has been used since the beginning. We never had cyrillic alphabet, except during Yugoslavia where both Latin and Cyrillic alphabet were official.
