I got my F50s today and they look great. Surprisingly they're quite small though, and too narrow for my wide feet. I've been told that the kangeroo leather will stretch so that's a plus. Also, the boots come with 3 different souls. Professional for optimal performance, Light for speedy lightweight peeps and maximum flexibility, and Comfort for stability and comfort. I tried out the professional ones today at practise, I think I'll give the comforts a go tomorrow.

After the warm ups and stuff, we did two major drills, one was taking on defenders, the other was a crossing drill of sorts. In the latter there were two teams of six, two of which were crossers, one on the left, the other on the right. No-one was allowed to challenge the players crossing so the idea was to win the ball from the other team and get the ball to one of your crossers. The only way to score a goal was via a direct header from a cross, so if you didn't score but kept possession you could just work the ball back out to a crosser. I scored a hat-trick of headers which was a pleasant surprise since heading isn't the strongest part of my game.
Good stuff Stu. :)

How does the ball feel on your foot? Are the boots light?

The question is how do you heal an ankle permanently? And what do you do to make it stronger and prevent this from happening over and over?

The injury happened on Wednesday, but it's still sore.

    hehe ;)
I'd fill small bags with sand, tie them around my foot and trying to make the muscles surrounding my ankle stronger.

It's good that you're on an organized team that trains and make decent drills. Many of the teams i've been on rarely held training sessions, so i'd end up training with other teams.

About the F50's. The Same thing happened to my brother. He has a big foot and when he bought his F50s they were good for a while, but he grew out of them pretty quickly even after they stretched a bit. (He' as that age I guess). His biggest complait before was that the length was good, but it was too narrow. I wish I could have told you this before you bought them. The Kelme Master would be your best option if you have a wide foot. the rest of the brands AFAIK - excluding the Vapors, F50s, and Black/Red Inzaghi Diadoras - are in the regular range.

I feel sorry for my bro, but I'm not complaining though because that's how I ended up with an almost brand new pair of F50's :D Poor thing, He spent a lot of money on those shoes.

And as the good brother you did not reimburse him for them. :D
Don't worry, He's taken good care of ... Also, I gave him my old red preds to use temporarily while he choses a new pair. :)

Yeah, the boots are fairly light. Yesterday at training we worked mostly on keeping possession with short passes, dribbling, and heading, and the ball feels good on my feet, but I'm keen to see how long aerial passes will work out.

Damn  I should probably have gotten a half size bigger. Hopefully they stretch well enough because I paid alot of money for these boots, and that's not even including shipping and taxes, etc. My dad will be so pissed if I need another pair of boots in a couple of months.

I played in two half an hour small bars games today and yesterday at school. My team lost both games, 3-1 and 3-0. I scored the only goal today which was very satisfying not only because it was a good goal, but because I was the youngest player on the pitch, bar none.

    Thats good stuff Stu.

Today we had a big match at my College, as we played against our biggest rivals. There was a brawl after the match, while two players were shown red (Jay a big black guy on my team) for throwing punches. But we won 3-1, and I had a goal and an assist. :D

Not bad Andy :thumb: A single goal is worth a lot more if you play in a defensive position. (you still play defensive mid or Sweeper right? )

I just started to play again, prematurely though because I didn't plan on playing again till my ankles were better. Anyway, I wore ankle braces and played for about 15 minutes. I scored a goal and clearned the ball off the line... not bad. At least I wasn't in pain durring the game. The braces are great, but I can't dribble anymore and I can't stop as easily so that limits my options when playing (not to mention ruins my own style of play).

I'll proibly regret this, but I think I'll strat playing outdoor again this week (after a 2 and a half month absence due to injury/exams). Wish me luck..

Well central midfield today. For some reason I felt like Xavi, as I was passing the ball all over the pitch. I love when no one closes down in midfield. :D

braces? Explain how those work :)

I played today with a bunch of older guys (ie. 40ish) and they were quite keen on kicking at feet. :fero: But it was fun and my ankle isn't doing that bad. Already played last Saturday mostly just shooting on goal and that didn't harm it at all. Today I had a slight fallback but it wasn't that bad. Need some way to get it stronger in the long run cause this just keeps happening.
