im not really involved with the big footie community. theres way to many chelsea and barca fans here, it sickens me. id rather talk with you guys on this forum than ignorant glory seeking idiots who most of them actually dont know shit about football.

For the forum's sake, I've tried to be both patient & reasonable with you...but there's no reasoning with you. The 3 posts I made that irritate you, from here & the Totti thread have been favourably received & replied to by Boz, Stephan & Ali, who obviously felt there was no fault in what I had to say! Your criticisms of me have been seen by 4 other members, privately, to be inaccurate, unjust, & unacceptably anti social. That can be proven, I assure you!
Now, get this: I'm not defending Juventus to you, I'm telling you to take your complaint against their official fan club to them & stop wasting our time & space with your whining...a hell of a lot less people than you imagine can be bothered with either you or what you think!
As for your accusation that I'm biased, superior & condescending towards you & others here, let those people come & tell me, should there be any, don't you presume to speak for other members, you're insulting their intelligence!
You say as in you order me to focus on Juventus if I want to continue here...since I was a kid in my teens over 35 years ago I have been focused only on Juventus...& this is, like, your forum, & you get to tell people what to do?
Final point, you don't amuse me, you bore me, & for the forum's sake we avoid each other, GOT IT???!!!

You make valid points but your excessive use of flow-stopping (show-show stoppin') punctuation caused me to cease reading around halfway through.

Oh, and if you're arguing with Andy, give up. I'm not sure how he can make the argument here that he is doing, yet uphold his feelings towards me as a hockey-fan. He still claims I'm not a Sharks fan, when I'm a bloody season ticket holder.

Edito: My bad, you're arguing with Snoop :D Don't worry about him, he comes from some small, irrelevant, shitty country anyways.

Ahhh, but the people in the Curva know far more about football than you do about hockey. ;)

Hmm...have you met all of them? I know some kids who spend time there (curva) and don't know shit about anything. Everyone has to start somewhere, don't they?

While I'm no hockey expert (though I do know more than you seem to believe), I fail to see how me going to every game this season (and having already been to about as many sharks games as you have redwings' ) denies me the right to declare myself a fan. I still find it entirely ridiculous that you can call yourself a "true juventino" and claim I'm not a sharks fan.

Too bad my sharks are still better than your redwings. Last week I went to the select-a-seat ordeal, we got the last 2 lowerbowl seats left in the arena :weee:

They're on the visitor's attack side, but oh well

    hmm let's see
Now, get this: I'm not defending Juventus to you, I'm telling you to take your complaint against their official fan club to them & stop wasting our time & space with your whining...a hell of a lot less people than you imagine can be bothered with either you or what you think!
yeah this is called unacceptable unjust anti social blah blah

waste your time? dude you are wasting our time and space, read the whole thread, and see who has the same opinion and complains. Capisce?

As for your accusation that I'm biased, superior & condescending towards you & others here, let those people come & tell me, should there be any, don't you presume to speak for other members, you're insulting their intelligence!
I didn't claim everyone is thinking like me, I don't speak with people's name, I am speaking from my side, your signature, user title and all the bullshit you put in Italian, looks like an insult to me, this is an English forum, you either respect everyone and put your signature in a way everyone understands it, or you try to look cool since you are Italian and the whole forum members are supporting YOUR country's one of clubs. got it?

You say as in you order me to focus on Juventus if I want to continue here...since I was a kid in my teens over 35 years ago I have been focused only on Juventus...& this is, like, your forum, & you get to tell people what to do?
blah blah blah cut it, I didn't say that, I meant by focus to your club, by not comparing if other clubs' websites have the same aswell. you are a moron, you took this as an attack towards Italians, that is not the case, and you are not going to understand it, can you just shut up instead? It gets tiring to repeat the same things again and again. so please save your and my time by shuting up. yeah I am an anti-social moron, cause I am no Italian like you. good? see what my lil man say.

mutual feelings.. you keep advising me to avoid each others, can you start it from now on please? thanx.

I haven't asked an Italian Juve fan how does he feel to be a Juve fan to compare it with my feelings. I support the club with any possible way I am able to do that, whether by going to watch a game, buy official merchandise or subscribe to TV channels. I am even a DOC member and I plan to stay one. I think DOC's are there for this purpose, they were founded to make it possible for those abroad to get connections with the club. Their websites are sometimes good, sometimes horrible but I guess this is up to the particular DOC members to make the respective sites better.

I don't check the official Juve site much just because I don't know Italian and I know that the English section is worthless but I don't get angry at those responsible for that because it is not their job to do that (they created DOC). Now some will complain that DOC's don't exist where they live, well you can join in London or any other place or simply, create an own.

As for the Juventus Membership, it is something I haven't even checked out yet, I am satisfied with my status towards the club and to what I receive from them.

Here's to Juventus and all Juve fans :pint:

Oh, and this is certainly where snoop and I differ, but if Juve didn't even bother with an English language site and actually allowed Americans to register and pay for an Italian-only version of Juventus Member, I still would have gladly forked over my credit card. But that's just me...
    I echo your sentiment.

In a similar example of how I applied this for a few months, I used to buy Hurra Juventus in Lebanon, even though I barely understood the precise article content (I'd know the topic perhaps, from the headline). It still made a good read :D

Of course, I probably didn't gain as much insight from it as much as World Soccer mag.

During the 1990s the sports media have increased their football culture coverage. Shows like Futbol Mundial, FIFA's show (forget it's name), Champions League Highlights show etc...ALWAYS ALWAYS zoom in on interesting football cities from Albania to Zimbabwe....their clubs, their struggle to make a name for themselves, how they qualified or just missed out on the world cup, their top players, and of course the general culture of the featured area.

Through Juventus I learned to admire and gain an understanding of Italian culture. Afterall, watching football is more than just 11 players on a pitch, the goals and the result. There is a culture behind each and every football team in the cities/towns/villages that they come from. The same applies to players. It's these small bits of information that always fascinated me about Football. i.e. the south of Italy vs. the north, Maradona's heroics at Napoli and the hysteria that took the entire city because of a single man, watching Reggina's home games and seeing their fans fill the terraces every time, Chievo's rise and the story of them being a bunch of villagers/part-timers only 4 years prior to their first Serie A outing when they beat Fiorentina 2-0 (unfortunately they've fallen..), Dario Hubner and Roby Baggio goal frenzy at Brescia, Batistuta scoring for fun, Parma's rise and fall..........and much much more......

I am indeed a fan of Juve, but calcio in general is a passion. I enjoy meeting Italian people, and immediately attempt to open a football discussion. If not that, I like to discuss the various demographics and linguistics of that country...it's actually quite fascinating the number of dialects and languages that the Italians have whether it's Sicilianu, Bresa, Friuli, Venetian etc...

I note your whole post, Jeeks. This could be a most interesting dicussion topic if you feel like opening a thread, & judging by the comments of Ahmed & Rhizoid, they'd enjoy it too! To briefly answer your question, when it comes to football, Italians are not so different from anyone else. You give with a passion your support to the team you admire most, & gather as much information as you can about that team to further "fire" your interest!!!

 pretty much what i wanted to say as well
Ahmed, always a man with a mind open to investigating & enjoying Life's interests, football & otherwise! And why not? We live once...

I echo your sentiment. I am indeed a fan of Juve, but calcio in general is a passion.
"H," to some, football is no more than the support of their favourite team. To others, football opens the door of friendship the world over. To many more, discovering & embracing the culture of the country of the football team or teams in question can make an experience best described as being a delight to explore, as you are indeed finding out!

"Buona fortuna e buonissimo calcio," guys, :toast: & Jeeks, please bear in mind to open a thread on this...the Italian side also deserves a say in the matter & it will make good reading for many of all nationalities.
