For the forum's sake, I've tried to be both patient & reasonable with you...but there's no reasoning with you. The 3 posts I made that irritate you, from here & the Totti thread have been favourably received & replied to by Boz, Stephan & Ali, who obviously felt there was no fault in what I had to say! Your criticisms of me have been seen by 4 other members, privately, to be inaccurate, unjust, & unacceptably anti social. That can be proven, I assure you!
Now, get this: I'm not defending Juventus to you, I'm telling you to take your complaint against their official fan club to them & stop wasting our time & space with your whining...a hell of a lot less people than you imagine can be bothered with either you or what you think!

You make valid points but your excessive use of flow-stopping (show-show stoppin') punctuation caused me to cease reading around halfway through.

While I'm no hockey expert (though I do know more than you seem to believe), I fail to see how me going to every game this season (and having already been to about as many sharks games as you have redwings' ) denies me the right to declare myself a fan. I still find it entirely ridiculous that you can call yourself a "true juventino" and claim I'm not a sharks fan.

I haven't asked an Italian Juve fan how does he feel to be a Juve fan to compare it with my feelings. I support the club with any possible way I am able to do that, whether by going to watch a game, buy official merchandise or subscribe to TV channels. I am even a DOC member and I plan to stay one. I think DOC's are there for this purpose, they were founded to make it possible for those abroad to get connections with the club. Their websites are sometimes good, sometimes horrible but I guess this is up to the particular DOC members to make the respective sites better.

In a similar example of how I applied this for a few months, I used to buy Hurra Juventus in Lebanon, even though I barely understood the precise article content (I'd know the topic perhaps, from the headline). It still made a good read

During the 1990s the sports media have increased their football culture coverage. Shows like Futbol Mundial, FIFA's show (forget it's name), Champions League Highlights show etc...ALWAYS ALWAYS zoom in on interesting football cities from Albania to Zimbabwe....their clubs, their struggle to make a name for themselves, how they qualified or just missed out on the world cup, their top players, and of course the general culture of the featured area.
Through Juventus I learned to admire and gain an understanding of Italian culture. Afterall, watching football is more than just 11 players on a pitch, the goals and the result. There is a culture behind each and every football team in the cities/towns/villages that they come from. The same applies to players. It's these small bits of information that always fascinated me about Football. i.e. the south of Italy vs. the north, Maradona's heroics at Napoli and the hysteria that took the entire city because of a single man, watching Reggina's home games and seeing their fans fill the terraces every time, Chievo's rise and the story of them being a bunch of villagers/part-timers only 4 years prior to their first Serie A outing when they beat Fiorentina 2-0 (unfortunately they've fallen..), Dario Hubner and Roby Baggio goal frenzy at Brescia, Batistuta scoring for fun, Parma's rise and fall..........and much much more......
I am indeed a fan of Juve, but calcio in general is a passion. I enjoy meeting Italian people, and immediately attempt to open a football discussion. If not that, I like to discuss the various demographics and linguistics of that country...it's actually quite fascinating the number of dialects and languages that the Italians have whether it's Sicilianu, Bresa, Friuli, Venetian etc...

To many more, discovering & embracing the culture of the country of the football team or teams in question can make an experience best described as being a delight to explore, as you are indeed finding out!
