wasted opportunity, wasted talent.

odds are he'd be cheaper on a yearly basis than dzeko.
How is he a wasted talent? Silly take.
You guys are making it sound like he's throwing away his career by going to play in Qatar or China or something.
Not to forget he's only 23 and will be playing under a coach who's shown promise. It's not like he'll be playing for some dinosaur like Mourinho or Conte who are literally clueless with creative players.
If things work out well, he could very well use Arsenal as a stepping stone to a bigger club in the future.
Pretty decent career choice at this stage of his career.

name me any arsenal player with a long and successful career in the last 10 years or so. i'll wait.

that club isn't about sporting success. they might win an other fa cup or get a cl place in the next couple of years, and that's all. call it a success if you will.

Arsenal difficultly sells their prized assets as well. If he goes there, he'd only leave for big money from Madrid, Barcelona. Other PL sides might be possible too to a lesser extent

He's risking his career. If guys like him don't end up in a winning situation but instead plays for a team that barely makes CL then their value goes down. Being part of a winning situation usually inflates players careers and vice versa.

These italians gurus are so great, they know everything about everyone.
This guy picked up an info from Telefoot that Arsenal was going to submit a new offer this week, except that he now adds that Aouar has agreed with Arsrnul.

He's signing for Arsenal dude, not West Bromwich Albion. He'll have all the exposure in the world with Arsenal, if he becomes great midfielder in the Prem the likes of City, Barca and Real will be in line for his signature. He's assured a starting spot most likely, a great choice imo

Not only that, if the only options are arsenal and lyon, how's arsenal the wrong pick? Lol

Lyon are selling players like hot cakes. He'll end up going for about €30m at this rate.

I also maintain that we are not really interested in him, not with the system in mind. Said this all along, the rumours for him have been pushed by fans alone.

You may know more Raphael, but not only the Italians gurus say that he agrees with Arsenal, Sky Sports UK says exactly the same.

Yeah, I also don't get the feeling that we're interested in him. Usually when we zone in on a young and expensive prospect there is a lot more buzz around it, our management indirectly confirms it and usually media is all over it. This time Juve fans are working hard to link him to us from some dodgy sources.

Such a shame not to sign him, I would have loved to have him here and for him to play under Pirlo. If the rumours are true, Arsenal are lucky to have landed him

Oh yes, we also need to ban infos from Momblano or at least have a poll to whether ban them or not, this dude is a scumbag who sells dreams.

We have a great midfield guys - we don't need Aouar. Tootsie got us McNuggets and we have an unknown Lolzilian entity in Arhtur as our main reinforcements in midfield - we can't really complain.

It's not a wasted opportunity if you don't have a dime to spend.
our new 34-year-old striker will allegedly cost 20-22m per season. that is more expensive than basically any serie a player, bar oshimen at napoli, and juve's most expensive players (cr, de ligt, costa, arthur). plus it seems we're still chasing kean. we're not completely broke.

we just have other priorities, which is a bit of a shame. aouar would cost less than dzeko on a yearly basis, and he could make us a better team overall if we'd stick with a midfield with 3 cm's, not to mention the age difference and the potential future resale value.

i'd take aouar over dzeko, and go for a cheaper 9 instead. dybala as a false 9 was pretty good after the covid break, we don't necessarily need a lamp post in the box to make our attack tick.
