Hamsik would have been the best replacement to Pavel. Better than Diego or Van der Vaart.

It's now looking as though Mancini will be the the third player to arrive.

Amauri will have agreed personal terms with Juve by tomorrow evening and Flamini by the end of April.

That just leaves the simple matter of getting a world class left back.

So the new arrivals next season are likely to be Amauri, Flamini, Mancini, Giovinco and a really solid left sided defender. This defender will be cricial to our prospects.
why isn't giovinco the replacement for neddy? Isn't hamsik more defensive than neddy?

It's not looking at all as if mancini was going to join us (secco denied i think and even if not, that iaquinta-mancini swap was only media talk)

Amauri hasn't agreed anything, even if it looks quite good with us i'd say. Flamini is far from joining us, believe me...

How are you so sure?
well i don't know of course, but i said it in the flamini thread several times... This is all media-bs. I'd like to have him here, and there maybe is a possibility (we all know how much we love free agent players) but this is all getting hyped up a little. IMO in a few days they'll reveal that arsenal offers a sensational wage for him and he'll have reached what he wants. It just happened so often with other players. But it's no use making up theories. Let's just wait and see....

yeah like I said Flamini or Hamsik would be a major signing but it looks unlikely to me

I have something else worth mentionning
I'm from Belgium and Standard de Liege was crowned champions last weekend
they are still undefeated even tough they play with a very young team
their midfield rocks; Fellaini(19) Defour(19) Witsel(18) Goreux(20) Toama(27)...
that is their midfield, all of them international apart from Goreux
as you may know, we have excellent relations with them and we play a friendly against them every year
worth looking into ps Defour is their playmaker and captain at his age and won best player in Belgium he got his trophy out of the hand of Zidane

Besides the talks of a new contract for Hamsik, the possibility that Hamsik will leave Napoli to join Juve still exists. A former Napoli man said: "The story with Hamsik&Juve isn't over yet,Marino is looking to keep Marek for another year, but his way will lead him to Juve."

Im going to go to pray everyday that this turns out to be true, but I highly doubt it.

Are we on our way to another disastrous transfer campaign, or is is just me?

its still april/almost may
dont get so discouraged
I know its still early, but seeing all those players that we were chasing getting linked with other clubs, most of which are using their bank accounts to lure them, is honestly quite depressing to say the least.

An early CL exit next season, would devastate me next year is one of the most important seasons in decades for juve IMO.

Now i know some people say that we need more than 2 seasons to get back to winning but I disagree, WERE JUVE for gods sake.

So we better strenghen up our squad and believe and or : pray for secco and the entire staff

    Cyril you are so right.

The next few days and weeks will be the most important decisions on transfer policies that the club will have made since 2004 when Capello/Moggi landed Cannavaro, Emerson and Ibrahimovic.

It's simple. Fix Amauri now. Exchange Iaquinta/Mancini, Hamsik comes in via cash + palladino, Giovinco comes back from loan, Mellberg comes in from Aston Villa, Then a left back with great defensive skills.

    ROUGH TRANSLATION

Vincenzo Iaquinta could have already played its last left in bianconero. L' attaching former Udinese, decisive in a lot of occasions, did not succeed to clip itself an important space and, therefore, would be able ask to go away: Naples, in the last hours, likelier its destination became.

All (or almost) it depends dall' result of the awkward negotiation to Amauri: if l' Italic-Brazilian should arrive at Turin, then the Juventus would ransom also Zalayeta from the Naples and would turn actual Iaquinta to the partenopei.

But the negotiations with the Naples would not be ended here: the possibility that at the end of season is Marek Hamsik than Blasi slacken Naples for the Juventus is a lot more than realizes. Zalayeta and Blasi, therefore, are two of the keys to make departing person a series of exchanges between Naples and Turin: the two I am in free joint ownership and the possibility that return to Turin, after l' excellent season, is a lot. But if for Zalayeta an attempt will be done (moreover not even too much convinced) for Blasi the destiny seems already written, at least to hear the words of the Marine dg: the midfielder, because of its very aggressive game and, for this, very flawed, played little for the squalifiche so that "if we should lose it there we will do of it a reason". These the words of the dg partenopeo.

But the destiny of Blasi seems however distant from Turin: the midfielder could be introduced in the negotiation to arrive to Amauri, avoiding so the sacrifice of Nocerino or, in alternative, to to be turned the Latium in exchange for Ledesma or, more likely, Mauri.

Hamsik is one of the fine pieces of the market. But we are secure that farewell the trouble to renounce Iaquinta for him?

Juve Propose Iaquinta – Hamsik Swap

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are preparing an exchange offer for Napoli, including Vincenzo Iaquinta and Marek Hamsik.

Hamsik joined Napoli last summer from Serie B side Brescia and has been an absolute revelation this campaign.

He has been an ever-present at the heart of the Partenopei midfield, and has a return of eight goals from 35 league games.

Juventus are well known to admire the Slovakian international, and indeed were interested in signing, prior to his move to the San Paolo.

In the past few days it has been revealed that Napoli want to sign Bianconeri benchwarmer Vincenzo Iaquinta, and this was confirmed by sporting director Pierpaolo Marino yesterday.

Juventus are now considering taking advantage of this situation by presenting an offer to Napoli, which will see Iaquinta and Hamsik swap shirts next season.

It seems highly unlikely that the southerners will allow their prized asset, rated as one of the best young midfielders in Europe, to leave the club.

However they may rethink this decision if the likes of Raffaele Palladino, Sebastian Giovinco, Claudio Marchisio, or Paolo De Ceglie were also included in the deal.
