This would be great:

Zalayeta, Blasi and Palladino...all sold outright to Napoli.

In exchange for Hamsik and Santacroce....i think that is a fair deal.:scarf:

Hamsik signed new contract with Napoli until 2013.

Close thread?
Of course not.
Palladino also signed a new contract with us but that doesn't mean that he's staying.
Personally, i think Hamsik will stay in Napoli for at least one more year, but the contract extension can as well mean that Napoli are securing better negotiating position for themselves.

My opinion; there is absolutely NO WAY for us getting hamsik (at least for the upcoming season). Hamsik doesn't want to move, Napoli doesn't want to sell, his contract has been extended. There is absolutely no doubt left. Napoli have a long-term plan and a team in construction, and hamsik plays a big role there. There is no doubt for me that napoli are aiming for international business in a few seasons, and it's alright like that. They have the money, they have a decent coach and decent managers. They are no longer a team where you can go and pick the players you want in YOUR squad, like they were maybe 1 or 2 seasons ago. Actually, i don't see anybody moving away from them in this transfer window, and i even believe that THEY themselves will buy a high-priced player.

That's my opinion, i don't think we have ANY chance of getting hamsik, but that's alright like that; don't get me wrong, i rate hamsik, but he's not unreplaceable, and it's not like our future depended on someone like him. We're pretty much linked with every oncoming talent in italy (and in the world)

Stendardo signed a new contract with Lazio, and everyone knows Stendardo wont get back to Lazio to stay still (not aslong as Rossi is coach). Signing them means little on their own, you have to evaluate the players position in overall, not on contracts alone. Its generally a basic maneuver to strenghten your negotiating position.

That said, I dont think Hamsik will move, will stay there for another season (if he impresses further, if he is one season wonder, stay longer). Dont think it would be a bad move, its too soon and he probably knows it. And why ruin a good thing by moving to a big team early where the stakes are more against you. Its afterall in his first real season of top football this season.

But vimo, must say you exaggerate their position as a club bit much, even if they have a solid policy in place to improve themselves, dont think any of their players will have trouble leaving if a serious offers come (they are still ambitious).

:agree: they won't sell hamsik (atleast not this summer). Napoli and fiorentina IMO r the most exciting teams in serie A this season....

Chelsea Line Up Hamsik Bid

Chelsea are set to make a €20m bid for Napoli star Marek Hamsik, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

Hamsik joined Napoli last summer from Serie B side Brescia and has been an absolute revelation this season.

He has been an ever-present at the heart of the Azzurri midfield, and has a return of eight goals from 33 Serie A games.

Chelsea scouts are said to be hugely impressed by what they have seen of Hamsik, and have told Roman Abramovich to get his chequebook out.

Abramovich is prepared to fork out a cool €20m to take the Slovakian international to Stamford Bridge.

Hamsik though is said to be on the verge of signing a new contract with the Partenopei, and has stated recently that he sees his long-term future at the Stadio San Paolo.

Yes, you might be right, but still no club can say no when offered the money that Abramovich can offer..

Vengloš nevie o ponuke Chelsea
Marek Hamšík

Marek Hamšík zatiaľ zostáva v Neapole.

Autor: ČTK
Anglický futbalový klub FC Chelsea chce ponúknuť za slovenského stredopoliara Marka Hamšíka jeho talianskemu zamestnávateľovi, SSC Neapol, 20 miliónov eur. Tvrdí to denník Corriere dello Sport. "Túto informáciu nemôžem potvrdiť, ale ani vyvrátiť," povedal hráćov agent Juraj Vengloš.

"Napísali to talianske médiá, v anglických nebolo o tom ani zmienky. Celú záležitosť nechcem viac komentovať. V Chelsea majú teraz iné problémy, potrebujú v domácej lige vyhrať nad Manchestrom United, ak chcú ešte bojovať o titul," dodal Vengloš na margo údajného záujmu "The Blues" o 11-násobného reprezentanta SR.

Podľa talianskych médií by mohol 20-ročný rodák z Banskej Bystrice zarábať ročne 800-tisíc eur.

It says, that Hamsik's agent denies any Chelsea bid, says, that it was only invented by Italian media, as the English didn't mention it and that they are negotiating a new contract with Napoli due to expire in 2013.

Hamsik would be a great player for us though. Everything else I agree with. Napoli are finally on the right track again (and I, for one, am very happy they are) and I don't see people like Lavezzi and Hamsik leaving. And you didn't even mention the support they receive from the Napoletani.. if there's one team you might want to play for just for the fans it would have to be Napoli.

Hamsik would have been the best replacement to Pavel. Better than Diego or Van der Vaart.

It's now looking as though Mancini will be the the third player to arrive.

Amauri will have agreed personal terms with Juve by tomorrow evening and Flamini by the end of April.

That just leaves the simple matter of getting a world class left back.

So the new arrivals next season are likely to be Amauri, Flamini, Mancini, Giovinco and a really solid left sided defender. This defender will be cricial to our prospects.
