Napoli have often stated that they are building a team for playing the CL. Obviously a player like Hamsik would be one of their key players in that, so they're very reluctant to let him leave.

However, Zalayeta's performances play in our advantage...

Hamsik and Ribery are completly different players. Im from Slovakia, so I saw him playing. Hes great as a central mid, but sucks on the wing(the national coach tried to put him there, but with no succsess..).

Someone - Criscito - Chiellini - De Ceglie

he will definitely add a lot to this team in our midfield. along with camo, we'll have some better creativeness moving forward in midfield.

Giovinco and Hamsik give us some hope!

It would have been awesome if we had signed Elano from Manchester City, I have seen him play and he is pretty good. Man City paid 8 million pounds, in my opinion it would have been money well spent if Juve had signed him. I don't care who they bring; Hamsik, Diego, VDV, Elano just bring someone who won't be a flop but is well known and young.

This cant be compared to the Ribery deal IMO.Ribery had proved himself on the highest level, while Hamsik is still developing.
I wasn't comparing Ribéry with Hamsik when I mentioned them yesterday.

I was merely stating that I had not been as excited about the prospects of a player moving to Juventus since there was the possibilty of the Frenchman putting on the famous black and white shirt - that's all.

I readily acknowledge that they have different playing styles.

Both will be stars at next years Euro 2008 finals. All the more important to snap him up now before the price goes ballistic.

I am afraid Zalayeta alone won´t be enough.
i think it will be enough.

Napoli currently have a £7m option to make Zalayeta’s deal permanent at the end of the season. The 29-year-old has been in outstanding form and has scored seven times already in Serie A.

no this article says they have to pay £7m to buy Zalayeta (other half). Half of Zala must have cost £7m. Thats £14m

Napoli are not stupid. They have a real gem for the future and they won´t accept only a player they can count on for 3-4 seasons. Zalayeta is not that good anyway. Hamsik means a lot more to them. If we throw Blasi in for example, they might reconsider....
