Look every body. We are Juventus, so Hamsik will see the prospect of moving from Napoli as a positive step in his career. A career that will go to the very highest level.

I urge the management to complete the deal asap and offer as much money as it takes to secure Hamsik as well as forfeiting on the 50% share we own on Zalayeta.

I have not been as excited about the possibility of this man arriving since the prospect of Franck Ribéry last year.

I just hope these fucking negotiating no-marks presently responsible at Turin for transfers get their act together.

    Get him a.s.a.p.

Throw 2 more players in the deal if needed. (Blasi, Olivera, Zebina, Almiron, etc....)

This cant be compared to the Ribery deal IMO.Ribery had proved himself on the highest level, while Hamsik is still developing.
Yes, we'd be pushing it too far if we compare him to Ribery at this point. Their playing style might be very similar but Ribery was a starter for the world cup finalist, lots of teams were after him and it was much harder to make that deal happen than it is the case with buying Hamsik.

Quality-wise it's still two early to compare them. But there is a 4 years difference between the two of them and in 4 years time i can imagine Hamsik being just as good as Ribery, or close to it.

Btw, Dominic or whoever saw him, don't you think that Hamsik also has many similarities with Ribery ? I mean the way they play their football.
Nedved and Ribery are the first two players i could think if i have to compare the kid with someone else.

Yeah sure, he compares to Ribery a little as well. I often spoke of Ribery being THE replacement for Nedved a year ago, so the comparisons all fall into place :).

Still there are some clear differences. Ribery is the most typical a winger of the three, while Nedved more of an allround advanced midfielder with Hamsik having some more playmaking aspects to his game and he sits deeper in midfield, not as advanced as Ribery. I also reckon Hamsik's game is less pace based, which Nedved's(used to be anyway) and especially Ribery's game are all about.

he is great, but he's nothing like ribery. someone compared him to nedved earlier and i think that's a good comparison, although he is more of a central player. think of a more technically refined, but less powerful version of gerrard.

I think Hamsik's main strengths are positioning and off the ball movement. I watched him in the national team (I'm from Slovakia) and he always seems to be in the right place at the right time (which is very rare at his age). Also, he's not afraid to use both feet and also quite aggressive when in the box (and thus can be a threat from set pieces). However, he is not that physical and sometimes does things the hard way and loses easy balls.

And he'll come to Juve if possible because he loves Nedved :D

This is what I'm hoping for down the road:

    Buffon

Someone - Criscito - Chiellini - De Ceglie

    Marchisio - Nocerino - Hamsik

    Giovinco

    Someone - Someone

    Welcome tibike.
Nice to hear that Nedved is Hamsik's idol

So instead of Lampard, VDV or Diego, we are planning to bring in Hamsik and Giovinco...it all makes sense now...
Beh, maybe you're right that we should bring more established players but i will remember this post of yours and i hope i'll have a nice reason, in some 2 or 3 years, to remind you of what you've said back in December 2007.

Man, these two are great talents. It's been a long time since i've seen such a talent like Giovinco comming from Italy, while Hamsik is another amazing talent who already is alpha & omega in Napoli and will most probably become irreplaceable in some top team . I'm 100% sure that both of them will be much more useful than VDV, even though they'll be only 21 next season.

If teams went for superstars and established players only, then Italy wouldn't have seen the magic of Zidane and Kaka.

No seriously, i have no doubt that they are great talents, (unlike Molinaro:p )
    esp Gio
and i would be happy to see them being our starters in 2-3 years from now.
But i think we need smth more atm, we need an experienced and valuable CM to build upon. If Almiron and Tiago twin werent proved enough, despite already being somewhat proven and experienced, then there is great chance for them also, not to be (already) good enough to make it.
They need more time and the status of a sub in a big team like Juve wouldnt hurt them right now. Even if we buy a great CM, we will need a very good sub for the times he is getting hurt or suspended, those kids might fit the bill and already occupy these places for the future.

Mouthwatering, especially if they all develop as they are tipped to.
Like Red said, Ivanovic+Huntelaar and then maybe some French kid as a support striker (we must continue taking the best of France. Too bad we missed out on Ribery. With Ribery-Giovinco-Hamsik, we could have played with only 1 striker)

Aha, yes, i agree with this. If Nedved retires and Camo gets injured again and again, we'll be too young and inexperienced in midfield to play serie A+ CL. We'll need an established champ in midfield.
But established player+these two is what i want, not only one experienced player and another loan for Giovinco.
