Are you seriously taking advice from experd no1 when it comes to your health?
Offcourse, i got a good amount of experience when it comes to training related injuries, originating from myself or people i train with.
And its quite fair really. People wont come asking "i had insane pain and the day after its all blue and swollen, what should i do", they know they should get medical help for that.
Its more for those who have somekind of issue, who wonder what to do with it.
In ALC's case, thats eighter gonna be a nerve or the tendon. If its a nerve it will go away on itself, unless it also starts to feel painfull, then he should go to a dokter and get his shot or epidural injection to force the nerve back. But unless its close to the spîne, that wont be neccecary. If its the tendon then it will go away from itself, cause at his weight if he's natural he cant remotely damage it that bad. If the pain increases its inflammated, and lower weight+anti inflammatory agent will be the solution, and if that doesnt help you will need to stop a week.

I feel like training is going awesome but the diet has gone out the window and I find myself eating junk food and sweets constantly.
Can you tell me what kind of carb containing food you eat during the day ?
Because i'm pretty certain your issue will be the lack of complex carbs spread out during the day
