So Radja Nainggolan does his (individual) on pitch training on the pitch where I play games with my pub team.

I know he's older and it's not even sure he'll find a new club. But man, I have to you say you do feel bad about yourself when you watch an actual football player up close.

Thanks for the nice views Siamak.

Might need to get your hands on some steroids

Actually idk, the first guy could be natural, he’s just shredded
No steroids, I've been doing some cardio and erobic exercises and doing them separately on Wednesdays. My abs sets weren't hard enough before, I just need some exercises to get fit and visible abs and that's enough for me.

i wouldn't feel bad at all. that's their only job, of course they are miles better than 99% of regular "i like to play football on weekend after i finished my 40 hour working week" dudes. in my 20s i used to play against ex-pros too, even in their 60s they wipe the floor with most amateurs. this guy was a regular guest in the village where i lived: https://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kovács_Kálmán_(labdarúgó,_1965) his shot was extremely violent even when he didn't try at all

this is worth a watch too if you want to feel better. and these amateur guys aren't bad at all when they face other amateurs.

Did exactly the same for the last 3 months. Tried to train my whole body + 3 times per week boxing, succeeded in doing that for the majority of the weeks.

Since the start of this year I’ve been changing sparring strategy from hitting to not getting hit. Focused a awful lot on head and body movement. Today a sparred a buddy of me (5x3minute rounds), he absolutely destroyed me a year ago but today it seemed like everything fell into place. Been slipping and diving punches from left to right, only problem I have now is that I overdo it and as result of that I give the initiative away, at the other side it’s just funny when your opponent hits air.
Honestly it’s quite convenient giving a small update here every 3 months. Almost forgot that Q1 was full of sports for me.

Q3 was horrible. Worked so much in July, August 3 good weeks abroad, september was okayish but worked a lot aswel. Same for October. I think in general I had at least 3/4 days per week or so during the last two months where I either went to the gym or did boxing, but was less ‘into’ it due to having many other things to do. My buddy got eyelid problems and had to do minor surgery twice, damn I missed him, really makes me realise how much a good partner helps with motivation and competitiveness

Happy that I somehow had to think about my previous post, motivates me to finish the year positive.

Idk if I said it here already but I’m setting a goal to hit 1000lb club by end of next year. I just started doing deadlifts again and I feel so much stronger. I can clear 3 plates but to hit the 1000lb club I’ll need to go up by another.

So 405 on deadlifts, 315 on squats, and 280 on bench I guess.

I’m currently 315 deadlifts, 225 bench, and god knows what on squats, haven’t done them in years.

I think it’s doable.

I go back and forth about whether I like having a partner. Sometimes people at the gym just don't shut up and actually lift and it gets a bit annoying.
I agree on going to the gym with a partner. I was specifically talking about boxing, every Saturday morning (well not every but as much as possible) around 10 o’clock we do a warming-up, do some sparring, hug it out and go home. I would advise it to everyone, it’s great for friendship.

How's your diet? and How's your recovery?

Diet is nothing special. I could and should do much better there.

-Breakfast: usually bread with peanutbutter
-Around 10: a proteïne bar and a mandarin + banana
-Lunch: either bread with egg and chicken breast or with humus, and around 3 times per week a salad with sweet pepper, courgette and tomato, a piece of fruit
-Diner: probably 3/4 times per week pasta (antipasti killing me here), 2 times soup and the remaining days usually potatoes, vegetables and meat. A few times per month I like to buy fish.
-Somehow there’s everyday a moment where I need something sweet. 3 o’clock is a dangerous time for me I always get hungry again. If I don’t have something my soul gets weak and I might go for a balisto from a machine at work. They should remove that fucking thing
-During the weekends it’s more lose, can’t really tell you a fixed schedule that I follow.

Recovery: I sleep approximately 7 hours per day during the week, only train with weights about 3 times, so I never really feel like it’s a problem or that I’m very fatigued. I also think that I don’t train hard enough, motivation is difficult. I have the discipline to go but not always the motivation for a perfect workout

I think Gordo is the best source of information here regarding all of this. I just try to eat and live healthy in general, and might have a month or two per year where I really avoid sugars and bread. Bread kills me aswel.

Weight is between 79/81kg, I don’t try to go over 80kg, but it happens a few times per year during busy periods like last months.

I’m getting ready for a gym at around 22 in the evening after putting kids to sleep and finish around midnight.

I lost around 15kgs the past year and now that I’m at a good weight I’m looking to build muscle, so I want to include a protein shake somewhere there - should I do it before or after the training? Somehow eating at midnight, right before going to sleep sounds bad, but then again you’re supposed to eat something after workout if you want to build muscle, no?

I like to have fructose right after a workout, and a meal 30-45 minutes later.

My favorite shake before bed is a scoop of casein, 200ml egg white, 70g avocado, and a bit of vanilla flavored unsweetened almond milk
