Yeah, fuck Guus! We don't need that loser as a manager of our great team. We already have Ferrara, he is Ferguson in the making, hey even his name is beginning with the F just like Ferguson's...

South Korea was a joke, and a bad one.
The Aussies did well, but let's not over egg that.
The Russians, they did OK.

And Chelsea won the FA cup, but they were already in the 5th round when he took over.

So shall I want him for that! Or his record the last century?
Even if S. Korea was a joke, some credit must still be given to the man.
No one is exaggerating what the Aussies did, they did great for the team they had. I know who to gie credit for.

And his achievements last century with PSV are not that far away.

I give him credit, but not kudos.

Since when is it wrong to ask questions, rather than just bow to common consent?

I don't see Guus as the answer to Juve's long term problems.

Yes his glorious win percentage of 35% at Valencia
he qualified them twice in a row for Uefa-cup football
he had a row with the board and was sacked a couple months later Valencia were strugling against degradation
Guus was brought back and they moved up
I don't get this critisism, he is a damn good coach and he has proven that
the only thing Ciro has proven is that he is not up to the job
and who would you suggest when/if he gets sacked?

What Deneb said. Coming off bit forced.

And his Russia was just ok? Seriously?

Thats whats most encouraging about Hiddink, his FOOTBALL, clear and on point with how he coaches his teams and makes them play, been evident since seeing him for PSV. ALOT of the ball the ball movement, creativity, constant well trained short passing regime (attacking, but tactica not recklessl, very tight knit team unit). Kind of footie that is showcases the best side of modern footie. He is a GOOD coach, as simple as that.

I am not saying it's wrong that you asked question, I answered your questions to continue the discussion.

As for the long term problems, I am totally with you. Guus is definitely not the answer here. But face it, not a single top manager is.

I consider the following as the best managers out there (they are all with a job except for Guus)

Ferguson, Mourinho, Ancelotti, Capello, Lippi, Hiddink.

None of these is a long term solution to any team. These are managers that bring you success now in order to build on it for the future.
Juventus are in need of a trophy and Hiddink can bring us the Europa League and maybe Coppa Italia. He will not bring us the Scudetto, he might not challenge Inter for it but the team needs the title that he can bring, even if it weren't a Serie A title.

Based on that victory a long term solution can be built. Without a victory, you simply cannot.

He is a GOOD coach agreed, nothing more.

He would be better than the Ciro, but long term I can't help feeling he is not the man for the job.

long term? whats long term? this is not a retirement account, you miss CL two years in a row and you can be looking at a decade in the doldrums. My friend this has nothing to do with feelings, its all cold hard cash and cold hard facts.
