Show him some love.

Sure he may have missed the second PK but the guy scored twice and the first goal was one helluva sweet strike.

He's a striker and he scored twice, throw him a freakin (ham encased) bone.

This game honestly sums up his career, flops when his team need him most, and was practically invisible the entire 2nd half. Yea I'll give him credit for the first 2 goals, the first goal was a nice strike, no doubt about it, even tho he as offside. But he had the chance to put the game away for us..TWICE...typical choker under pressure in a big game in europe, 2 amatuer misses when we needed him most... give him the big moments and he'll bottle it EVERY time, besides that, yes he can finish, but not when it matters

Am I blaming this shit performance on him? No, not in the slightest, Allegri got it all wrong from the rip, 32 % possession at fuckin home, but Higuain choked when we needed him the most, pjanic shoulda took the 2nd pk, sums up his career

Finally scores two goals in knockouts..

Is a choker who should've scored four :howler:

exactly.

if theres someone to blame today... is not the fatman. We cant blame a player who put us 2 up in 10 mins. Perfect score to start a KO tie.

we better man up as a team instead of looking for higuain as a scapegoat... because the reality is that this team played like shid.

The easyway is to blame him by saying things like "if he scored the pen, we would have won"...which could be true..... but what about the 80 mins of pussy footballl? we blame that on higuain too?

he scored 2 goals and the rest was up to the team. If anything... surprisingly... juventus failed him today.

did we blame dybala for that 2 missed penalties? of course we did, even allegri stated at some point of the season that with those 2 penalties, we would have 3 more points.

higuain is the highest paid footballer of the league, and a world class one on his day. he scored two, very nice, he deserves all praise, especially for the first one which was a technically difficult shot. the one at the end of the counter looked a lot easier to score, not to mention the missed penalty. what was he thinking...

of course our draw is not only on higuain. it's also on buffon for that horrendous move before the equalizer, on chiellini because of that foul, on our two wingers for basically being unable to hold the ball, on khedira for not showing up once again (according to some twitter guy, he made 7 passes, ffs, SEVEN!!!11!!!!!), and it's also probably on allegri for picking a soft lineup, etc.

Its not also “probably” on allegri.... Its almost ALL on him for pikcing the wrong lineup and having a farse of gameplan.

He should be signaled before any of our field players.

Your team is up 2-1, but under heavy pressure from a well playing attacking side, who have forced you way too far back for it to be comfortable- Out of nowhere you get a penalty, your star player (at tiems world class) is to take it; the goal have great importance as it will relieve some pressure, destroy the better team's momentum and put us up 3-1.

If missing that penalty isn't choking, then you must be fucken high.

Miss Piggy played a good game, but that penalty kick was pathetic.

I suppose the first goal was brilliant individual strike and the second a PK so those don't count right?
You're missing the key point here, being a choker doesn't mean you're not a good player overall. It's a very specific term, which Higuain defined again yesterday.

I cant bring myself to blame higuain in this game. The best players have missed penalties over the years. Baggio missed a slightly important penalty once as well lol.

But i will say it is good for him to be scoring again..it does help when your key striker is back in form. If only Allegri had a better attacking system to allow Higuain to be back to his napoli form.

What about scoring the first goal.. was he under pressure to score then? Yes

What about the second goal. A chance to bury the game. Was it pressure? yes.

The rest of the team got tottenham back in the game. He did his part in putting us 2 goals up at home.
