Higuain is a significant upgrade on Morata and it's not even debatable.

That being said, Morata is still an extremely talented player, and someone that still has potential to do bigger and better things. Has all the tools, just needs to find consistency in his performances. At this point though, he just doesn't score enough goals. He is great at assisting, he's quick, very skilful and can spark counter attacks, but he lacks the cutting edge that Higuain does.
Madrid fans are not even that impressed by him. If you ask them, they'd choose Madrid's Higuain all day everyday over this Morata.

Tank with a Ferrari engine.

But the tank doesn't shoot out bombs. Shoots out balls. Balls that end up in the back of the net.

Gonzalo simply has better stats than Alvaro. Although Alvaro is STILL work in progress.

look, if somebody scores 36 goals in Serie A, you're worth 90m. The greats were not even close.

Inzaghi? Scored 24 goals his best season(was never really close to that again).
    Del Piero 21 goals.
    Trezeguet 24 goals.
    Scheva 24 goals.
    Ronaldo 25 goals

Except for Luca Toni nobody has been over 30 goals. And sure, Serie A is not what it used to be but the defensive mentality is still there. Defenses still don't give an inch. Higuain would still be in the same gang as those greats during early 2000's.

Can't wait for us to finally start scoring some easily goals and maybe get bailed out by Higuain from time to time.

We'll win the scudetto by March. Never undermine the importance of momentum. He's in the absolute form of his life. This guy is going to hit the ground running right from the word go. Just hope he's in good shape and hope he doesnt ware off for at least another 3-4 years. Its not a problem to his game if he loses pace but he needs to maintain good fitness levels.

I laughed a little bit reading Stan Collymore's column (I know, he's a moron) where he questioned us spending so much money on Higuain. Firstly because it seems hilarious to read that kind of comment from a PL watcher. And secondly because he said that Higuain would have been nothing more than a decent striker in the 90s PL. Which just so happens to be when Collymore played and never got a sniff in the England side. Higuain would have pissed all over the 90s PL, each and every day. I know because I watched it closely.

I'm not surprised anymore by the media looking down at Juventus, they love to overhype EPL and under hype most other teams from other leagues. They don't realize the amazing resurgence we've had over the past 5 years compared to the slow crumbling of English teams. UCL performance shows the state of the EPL pretty clearly. Higuain will take us back to the finals this year. Good luck staying on top of him and dybala for 90 min.

True @torque, but still way to massive and heavy. No?
On an airport strip, its topspeed would blow you away tbh. It will accelerate slowly, but as the horsepower curve goes up with rpm, it will gradually go faster and keeps on going faster
Torque is 'pulling power', basically the strenght to overcome resistance. So big heavy things need a load of torque so the resistance is lowered
A classic tank engine has a massive amount of torque, so it can move all those tons of weight trough highly resistant terrair while keeping momentum up. It will however not keep accelerating on a soft strip like a pure horsepower engine.

In a dragrace between sports cars. Torque is what gets you of the line quicker as the resistance is huge, and will propel you into the horsepower curve. While your maximum horsepower will determine its top speed

NA engines are high in horsepower, but relatively lower in torque, but can compensate by adding cilinders.
Turbocharged engines boost your horsepower, but significantly boost your torque.

1980's formule 1 cars were using turbo's we see today in trucks. 5.5 bar pressure at the inlet manifold, 1500HP and insane torque numbers.

My company car has a 1.4 bar turbo :D

Early-mid basically had Alan Shearer, Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Les Ferdinand, Teddy Sheringham. Some others of a lesser level but still good. Later 90s had more of an international flavour with Henry, RvN, Bergkamp and others. Higuain would not have been just a 'good' striker in that company, as legendary as they all were for their own teams.

I personally find most of those names barely anything special

Shearer. Cantona. Zola, Hendry, Van Nistelrooy. None of those peaking at the same time

Cole, Yorke, Ferdinant and Sheringham. I'll take Higuain.
