He does have a bit of an Aussie accent, though it's mixed. I've heard people go from a perfect accent to sounding like someone who just picked up English in a matter of years due to only speaking it with foreigners, picking up their accent & grammar in the process.

Yeah you can hear the aussie accent a bit. It's a weird accent though, doesn't sound very Italian either.
