why not? it's not like he was in a much better physical shape last year. Max clearly trusts that he will improve his form, since he keeps on playing him and I think eventually he will. he'll never ever again be a complete striker, but he can still be a beast in the box and at times successfully lead the line just like last season if he gets his mojo back
He's overweight and seems to have lost his desire to play well week in week out

The tactics don't do him any favours either so that's why I think it's more likely he will not rediscover his form

Only way to rediscover his form is grid and mental fortitude, exactly the things he doesn't have at the moment. So I also find it unlikely that he will rediscover his form

No one needs to support Higuain; he needs to ride the bench until he's able to support himself, find the motivation and mentality to push himself, drive himself further and return to being a true professional.

The team shouldn't be catering to him he should be the one to man up and get his act together we paid €90 million for him and he's the highest paid player in the league

There is no excuse for him to be playing the way he is this season he should be sacraficing himself for the team doing everything he can to help in attack

Playing him just because it's Higuain will do nobody any favours he should only play if he's going to give 100%

that would be Bonucci  but yeah, your point is valid, players of his caliber should help the team not the other way around

Yeah but it’s not his fault we paid 90mz. The fee is irrelevant. BUT his salary is another story. What we pay him should be there motivator behind fixing his performance.

I agree it's not his fault but still you expect better from him and being so overweight is a fundamental problem that snowballs as weight is a very important factor in football

Pjanič negotiated a sensible release clause with Roma and gave up millions to come here, Higgy should've done better :p

You know, his physical appearance is a mystery to me as well. In his early twenties Higgy was never a fat man. And yeah, your metabolism might slow down a bit as you age, but not that quickly. Especially not if you're a professional athlete. Either there is something physically wrong with him or he just doesn't really care anymore.

Strange. When we got him, I didn't like him as a person but respected his ability as a goalscorer and was confident he could overcome his CL mental block. Now I like the guy, but even if he can be a lethal finisher on his day, I don't rate him much. Hope he improves a lot.

I don’t care what was paid for him, but it’s the fact that Juve keep playing him that pisses me off. He shouldn’t be on the pitch.

I said a lot of time. If Max would have developed the idea to build our game aroud Paulo, Pipa would be scoring more... last couple of good games for Pipa came for Paulo

Max started the season with Paulo free role with not defensive duty and then changed to a monotony system which he's the only one who has the faith we are gonna be able to get through UCL with such low level
