Come on now, this is Beppe we are talking about. The guy who offered 8 mio for Van Persie, 18 mio plus bonuses for Draxler and 30 mio for Sanchez. Even if we sell Pogba there is no way he is going to splash 94 mio on a soon to be 29 year old Higuain.

I think so too. it could be 2 things:
1. Creating turmoil in the transfer market, and try to get a bargain on Cavni\Sanchez\Morata.
2. Using mindgames to destroy Napoli from the inside (not that we need to, but why not)

To be honest I'd rather we still had Morata, even if Higuian could have a bigger impact temporarily.
What a bitch ass side madrid is, reactivating the clause through email.

I kinda want this transfer now Just to be a fuckin kent to Serie A.

Did you guys see the Serie A team of the season? If we get Higuain, we'd have 7 out of the 11 players on that teams :shocked2:

94 million is way too much though, would be a bad deal in the long term for us imo
Everyone keeps saying that. What if our finances are more than strong enough that the 94m fee wouldn't hurt as bad as many would think?

Potentially, it could pay for itself over the course of the next couple season: Hypothetically speaking of course, say we make it to a couple CL finals or even win one? Or shirt sales alone would damn near pay for him over the course of his contract?

I think everyone here is used to the fact that Marotta has typically been frugal with spending ONLY occasionally going big (Dybala). I mean, how can you possibly improve this team if Gonzalo comes? If we truly back in the top 3 or 4 in Europe, why is it far-fetched to think we can start expecting these kinds of purchases more frequently?

Of course, if we sell Pereyra, Asamoah, Sturaro, Rugani, Zaza, etc ( the so called bench players) this summer then we might not have anyone else to sell that isn't a starter next year to sweeten deals :D

It's a big fuck to all of Serie A, and to the EPL/Spaniards. Domination on and off the field!!

That is only if we keep Pogba too. If not this is a disgusting move and they all need to be hung, no jokes. This is only amazing if we keep our assets.

This move is more than just about Higuain. It's a pivotal point for the club, the last player to for a sum close to that was Suarez, and that was only 80 some million euros! Bale was cheaper then Higuain at 91mil, Cristiano went for 94mil!! The club is making a statement by spending that much and keeping all it's stars, they are literally swinging their dicks and flaunting how well endowed they are.

Report: Higuain doesn’t mean Pogba leaves
By Football Italia staff

It’s reported that Juventus could pay Gonzalo Higuain’s release clause without sacrificing Paul Pogba or Leonardo Bonucci.

The Bianconeri are thought to have agreed terms with the Napoli striker, so now they must negotiate with the Partenopei.

However, with President Aurelio De Laurentiis unwilling to do business, it’s widely believed they’d have to pay Higuain’s €94m release clause.

That has led to speculation that Paul Pogba would be sold to Manchester United, or Leonardo Bonucci to City to finance the move.

However, the website Calcio e Finanza [Football and Finance] has crunched the numbers and believes the Turin giants could afford to hold their stars and sign Higuain.

With the arrivals of Miralem Pjanic, Dani Alves and Medhi Benatia, as well as making Mario Lemina’s loan deal permanent, the Old Lady have €37m more on the budget than last year.

Given that Higuain is thought to have agreed a €7.5m per season contract, paying his clause in two instalments would almost double that figure to €75m.

However, Alvaro Morata’s €30m return to Real Madrid has created a €16.7m profit, which rises to €25m when wages and depreciation are taken into account.

When one adds in the fact that Kingsley Coman’s loan at Bayern Munich has been renewed and will almost certainly be made permanent for €21m, Martin Caceres and Rubinho have left and Simone Padoin has transferred to Cagliari, the website claims a total saving of €44m.

Roberto Pereyra is expected to join Napoli for between €15m and €18m - or a discount of the same amount on Higuain - while Simone Zaza’s prospective move to Wolfsburg should bring in between €25m and €30m.

Even on the lower end of the scale, the two operations would therefore bring in an extra €40m, thus balancing out the €75m which would go on Higuain

Whoever is gonna deal with us in the future for Pogba will have to fork out some serious money, if the contract talks of 7.5mil for Pogba are true, we really are not as poorly placed financially as Marotta has been claiming all these years. Pogba won't be the only one getting such a sum, Higuain too. Bonucci getting a raise too, we're pissing Man City my niggas!! This is beautiful!!
