Everyone keeps saying that. What if our finances are more than strong enough that the 94m fee wouldn't hurt as bad as many would think?
i´m not a financial expert but for me this article makes perfect sense: http://www.calcioefinanza.it/2016/07/15/higuain-juve-senza-vendere-bonucci-pogba/

Higuain to Juventus Bonucci without selling or Pogba. Numbers in hand you can do

In the last 24 hours we have become increasingly insistent rumors that would see Gonzalo Higuain increasingly close to Juventus . The company's president Andrea Agnelli, strong fact of an agreement in principle with the player for a four-year from 7.5 million per season, would be willing to deal with Napoli for its sale (also at stake players as Pereyra and Sturaro, that much They like Sarri) and, if De Laurentiis did not want to sit around a table to negotiate, even completely pay out the amount of the termination clause amounted to 94 million Euro .

A monstrous figure , given that the parties of Corso Galileo Ferraris in recent times the purchase more expensive was to Paulo Dybala : 32,000,000 + 8 bonus . This figure, paid out about a year ago from Juventus, already seemed to be something difficult "financed" and "sustainable", but his young age and his immense talent had convinced the CEO Marotta to focus on the Argentine star.

A few weeks ago, Juventus had also honored another clause important, namely that of Miralem Pjanic : Bosnian, arrived from Rome for 32 million , seemed to be the only effort of this campaign Juventus purchases up to this time already much more than exciting .

In the Thursday night the news that Marotta & co were willing to pay the whole of the termination clause hangnail had made her jump off the chair all the experts: can a coup like that worthy of the best sci-market?

In the minds of the fans instead the suggestion he could blow Higuain to Napoli has now given way to another consideration: the assignment of a big shot as Pogba or Leonardo Bonucci .

Already for several weeks it is in fact known the interests of Real Madrid for the French and the Manchester City for the Italian: the fact that Juve try in a decisive manner to take Higuain means that one of the "totem" is leaving?

Apparently it would seem not.

Table 1: Summary of input market operations

Improved input purchases of the aforementioned Pjanic , of Dani Alves and Benatia (accompanied by the redemption of Lemina and the insertion already in January of Mandragora), Juventus would find at the moment with a budget " weighted " by about 37 million compared to the previous season.

Wanting to enter into organic Higuain , the only termination clause to be amortized and about 7.5 million euros per year that the Argentine would receive would be enough to double the expense that the Bianconeri will have to account for in 2016/2017, a total of around 75 million in more than last year.

Table 2: Summary of market operations Output

Outgoing rather the exercise of the right of recompra Real Madrid for Morata brought cash for 30 million euros and a capital gain in the income statement of approximately 16.7 million . This data combined depreciation and saved the assignment, they have " eased " the budget of about 25 million in a single operation. Lost Cuadrado (end of loan), sold Padoin at Cagliari and Coman again in two year loan at Bayern Monaco, the non-renewal of Caceres and Rubinho have accompanied the outbound market hitherto performed by Juventus. Total: 44 million euros saved .

With Pereyra closer to Naples (and possible compensation technique) and Zaza that ended by the arrival of Higuain would be diverted to Wolfsburg, Juventus as well as having 43 million of available funds more (needed to pay the installments and the Argentine do not go to the cash deficit), it would improve by about 75 million Euro altogether its own budget.

So, logically, buying Higuain will be financed only through the sales . However, at least at the moment, it seems unnecessary the sacrifices of the "big" Pogba and Bonucci.
can anyone confirm the calculations?

Won't be easy to manage our star studded squad though.
Manage what?! Who is gonna make a peep around guys like Gigi or Evra, even the likes of Balotelli would be regulated no problem. Juventus is a great environment and besides we've had higher profile players then this before.

You the one sounding like a bitch now Seven :p
What happen to Mr. Juventus can get/win anything? :D

That didn't change at all. I definitely believe we can win everything. Why wouldn't I?

just scrolled through it, and it seems legit. my only concern is that pogba and bonucci will be guaranteed to have a pay rise in case they stay, and those supposed numbers are lacking from the article. also, no mention of pjaca and his wages either, and while the article talks about this year's budget, the high wages are certainly going to affect the budgets of coming years, too. you can't just sell some players every year to cover higuain's wage bill of 15m.

it's a stretch, unless some new sponsors show up and/or some players on high wages leave next year.

What's to lol about? Oh wait, I think I found it "he maybe misses sometimes" lol
:agree:

"Maybe misses some times"

The greatest achievement of Higuain is being top scorer for garbage town.

That's said...

We are getting #GH9
You make it sound like he scores 5 goals per season. Just look at his numbers over the last 5+ years. It's incredible.

Posted it in the financial thread aswel, but here is an interesthing tho simple view

Higuain doesn’t mean Pogba leaves
By Football Italia staff

It’s reported that Juventus could pay Gonzalo Higuain’s release clause without sacrificing Paul Pogba or Leonardo Bonucci.

The Bianconeri are thought to have agreed terms with the Napoli striker, so now they must negotiate with the Partenopei.

However, with President Aurelio De Laurentiis unwilling to do business, it’s widely believed they’d have to pay Higuain’s €94m release clause.

That has led to speculation that Paul Pogba would be sold to Manchester United, or Leonardo Bonucci to Manchester City, to finance the move.

However, the website Calcio e Finanza [Football and Finance] has crunched the numbers and believes the Turin giants could afford to hold their stars and sign Higuain.

With the arrivals of Miralem Pjanic, Dani Alves and Medhi Benatia, as well as making Mario Lemina’s loan deal permanent, the Old Lady have €37m more on the budget than last year.

Given that Higuain is thought to have agreed a €7.5m per season contract, paying his clause in two instalments would almost double that figure to €75m.

However, Alvaro Morata’s €30m return to Real Madrid has created a €16.7m profit, which rises to €25m when wages and depreciation are taken into account.

When one adds in the fact that Kingsley Coman’s loan at Bayern Munich has been renewed and will almost certainly be made permanent for €21m, Martin Caceres and Rubinho have left and Simone Padoin has transferred to Cagliari, the website claims a total saving of €44m.

Roberto Pereyra is expected to join Napoli for between €15m and €18m - or a discount of the same amount on Higuain - while Simone Zaza’s prospective move to Wolfsburg should bring in between €25m and €30m.

Even on the lower end of the scale, the two operations would therefore bring in an extra €40m, thus balancing out the €75m which would go on Higuain.

How about we let agnelli worry about the money. If we can get higuain without sacrificing pogba or to a lesser extent rugani, fucking do it.

Btw sacrificing pogba to get higuain makes zero sense logically. Doubt that's even in the picture. You don't make a move like this if you're not going all in.
